The Problem With OpenAI Putting Ads in ChatGPT

yeah I get it, OpenAI just wanna make some cash 🤑... but can't they just chill for a sec? introducing ads into ChatGPT like that's gonna be super annoying, especially if they're not even relevant to the convo 💔. and don't even get me started on user trust - once you add ads, it's all about what's in it for them, not what's good for us 🤷‍♀️. I mean, women are already skeptical of AI, now we gotta worry about ads too? come on! shouldn't they be working to make our lives better, not just lining their pockets 💸... anyway, guess that's the price we pay for innovation 😒

idk if i'd be comfortable having ads in chatgpt lol 🤔 its like they're blurring the line between conversation and sales pitch you know? and what's to stop them from just pushing stuff that's not relevant or useful anyway? 💸 it feels like a huge compromise on user experience for the sake of some ad revenue. i hope openai thinks through the implications of this move before they roll it out 🤞

I'm low-key concerned about this move by OpenAI. I mean, we've all had those times when our fave chatbots start serving us ads that are just totally off-brand 🤑... it's like "Uh, isn't this supposed to be a conversational AI, not an ad break?" 📺

I think the bigger issue is the potential for ad targeting based on user data. Like, what if the ads served up in ChatGPT are targeted at you because of your past conversations or browsing history? That's some serious creepiness right there 😳... and it raises all sorts of questions about user consent and control.

I'm not saying OpenAI is gonna mess everything up (fingers crossed 🤞), but transparency is key here. We need to know how ads are being served, what data's being used to target them, and who's actually getting paid for serving 'em up 🤑... otherwise, it's just a slippery slope towards all sorts of ad-related drama 😒

omg this is so sketchy 🤔 - openai just wants to make bank off our personal info & thoughts 🤑 i mean who needs user trust when you can shove ads down your throat 🚫 chatgpt was supposed to be a helpful tool, not some cash cow 💸 and what's up with google trying to muscle in on the action? 🤖 that shopping feature in gemini is just gonna make our lives more complicated 📈 i'm all for transparency & accountability, but when are they gonna prioritize our digital well-being over their bottom line 🤑💸

🤔 I'm a student and I totally get why there's concern about ads in ChatGPT... like my friends and me use it to do our homework and stuff 📚💻. If the ads aren't relevant, it can be super annoying and take away from the whole point of using the chatbot. And what if the ads are trying to influence what we think or say? That's like when you're trying to write an essay and your browser keeps popping up with sponsored content 🤯. It's like, I get that companies need to make money, but can't they just find another way to do it without messing with our trust? 💸
