Under anti-vaccine RFK Jr., CDC slashes childhood vaccine schedule

I'm super worried about this new vaccine schedule ... I mean, what if some diseases come back? We just got out of that whole whooping-cough mess and now we're undoing all the progress? My kid is already getting shots and it's hard enough to deal with them not wanting to get vaccinated. Now they'll have even more reasons to whine ... I just want what's best for my child, but this feels so reckless .

I'm not surprised, tbh. It's like they're trying to create a whole new set of problems . Who needs 11 vaccines when you can just have a bunch of "maybe" diseases, right? Just kidding, sorta. Seriously though, it's pretty concerning that the CDC is now following Denmark's lead. I mean, we don't all live in a Scandinavian utopia here, folks ️. It feels like they're playing with fire and hoping no one gets hurt .

I'm also loving how some of these health experts are speaking truth to power . Like, what's the actual science behind this drastic change? Are we just gonna wing it and see what happens? Not exactly the most reassuring vibe, if you ask me .

And can we talk about the whole "we're not Denmark" thing? I'm pretty sure our healthcare system is more complex than that . It's not just a matter of "oh, we'll do it differently because... ". There needs to be some actual thought put into this decision .

Anyway, time to keep an eye on this and see how things play out . Fingers crossed that sanity prevails (aka common sense)

so what's next? are we gonna start requiring kids to wash their hands with soap made from unicorn tears? i mean, come on CDC, you're basically playing a game of "vaccine roulette" now . and honestly, who needs Denmark's universal healthcare system if it means putting more lives at risk? the US isn't Denmark, folks! we got polio, measles, and other diseases that are still lurking around. i'm all for making things easier for families, but vaccine-preventable diseases aren't exactly something you can just "forget" about . someone please explain to me how this is gonna protect kids... or was it just a clever marketing ploy?

This new vaccine schedule is like, super weird... I mean, I get why they want to reduce the number of vaccines and make it more "universal" or whatever, but have you seen how small Denmark's population is? Like, 5 million people? It's not exactly a huge country. And what about all the countries with smaller populations that still manage to keep their kids vaccinated? I just don't get why the US would want to go so drastic on this.

And what about the science behind vaccines? Don't experts agree that reducing the number of vaccines will put more people at risk for diseases like whooping-cough and measles? Like, I'm all for being prepared for natural disasters or whatever, but come on! Vaccines are one of the best ways we have to protect ourselves from getting sick.

And don't even get me started on how this is going to affect vulnerable communities... low-income families who might already be struggling to afford healthcare and vaccines in the first place? It's just not fair.
