i'm so stoked for the upcoming events in london ! the makropulos affair is gonna be a game changer at the barbican, i've been hearing great things about that opera. and can't wait to check out abél seloe's mohopolo/ancestral memory weekend, it's gonna be so cool to see traditional mozambican dance come to life .
i'm also really excited for the wigmore hall 125th anniversary festival, it's gonna be a celebration of music and culture in all its forms. and who wouldn't want to experience l'orfeo at aviva studios in manchester?
but seriously, can we talk about how amazing it is that there are so many incredible events happening in london right now? from classical music to dance, it's truly a city that has something for everyone .
omg i'm so excited for the wigmore hall 125th anniversary festival i've been listening to a lot of classical music lately and it's amazing how much depth and emotion there is in that kind of music. i wish more people would appreciate it anyway, can't wait to see what they have planned for the festival, fingers crossed some of my fave artists will be performing
omg just read about all these awesome concerts I'm so stoked for the Makropulos Affair at Barbican in Jan! The Aurora Orchestra's The Rite by Heart sounds like an incredible experience and I love that they're touring too. the barbican is such a great venue btw it always feels so lively when there are big events happening there
and omg Abél Selaocoe's Mohopolo/Ancestral Memory Weekend at Barbican? that sounds so powerful i need to get tickets ASAP! the wigmore hall 125th anniversary festival is also really cool can't wait to check it out in May.
anyway, just wanted to say thanks for sharing these awesome events can't wait to see what else is coming up this year
I'm hyped for the upcoming events but gotta be real... some of these dates sound a bit sketchy. Like what's up with the Makropulos Affair having two shows in London on the same day? Can't they just pick one date or something? And don't even get me started on the touring schedule for The Flying Dutchman... are they gonna hit every corner of Europe or just make us wait months to see it?
But for real, I'm excited to check out Abél Selaocoe's Mohopolo/Ancestral Memory Weekend at Barbican. That stuff looks like some deep cultural connection and I wanna learn more about it. And the Wigmore Hall 125th anniversary festival is always a highlight... gotta see what they've got in store for us this year.
One thing though, how are they gonna make these events accessible to everyone? Tickets can be super pricey and that's just not right.
just saw that there's a Makropulos Affair concert coming up twice in one week ! Guess some people really love opera... anyway think it's cool how they're celebrating Wigmore Hall's 125th anniversary with a whole festival might have to check out the Aurora Orchestra: The Rite by Heart concert - been meaning to explore more classical music
