Four teenage suspects who made headlines last weekend after escaping from the Sugar Land jail have been recaptured, police announced on Tuesday. Edmound Guillory, 19, Devontae Simon, 18, Desean Dillard, 17, and Clayton Johnson, 17, were initially arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery at a CVS store in Sugar Land last Sunday morning.
According to authorities, the suspects had assaulted a store clerk and fled with a bag of cash just before 2am. Police launched a pursuit with Houston officers but managed to track down the group, only for one of the teens to escape at around 4:50am when an SLPD jailer went to check on him.
In a shocking turn of events, the jailer was assaulted by one of the suspects and subsequently released the other prisoners. However, police were able to re-capture the four suspects after responding to reports that they had been spotted at the First Colony Church of Christ. They were taken into custody around 6:20pm on Tuesday.
The injured SLPD jailer is reportedly stable in hospital but faces additional charges related to the escape attempt. The four suspects will now face even more serious charges, including escape and attempted murder, as they are transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened at that Sugar Land jail 
Like, how does a group of teens manage to take over an entire facility? It's crazy! And poor guy who got assaulted by one of them... lucky he's stable now 
. The guys must have been in a desperate state to resort to violence like that. But, like, what was going on with those suspects? How did they even escape from jail in the first place?

like what were they thinking trying to break free in the middle of the night?! but then they get assaulted by a jailer and things just go downhill 
it's crazy how one person got hurt and now everyone else is facing way more serious charges. i'm just glad that those teens are recaptured and not causing any more trouble

It's crazy that one of the teens got hurt too and now he'll have extra charges to deal with... justice isn't always fair, is it? 
. And can you believe they were spotted at a church? Like, wasn't that supposed to be a safe place for a peaceful congregation? 
. And what really gets me is that one of the jailers is now facing additional charges because of their actions during the escape attempt... it's just another layer of complexity to an already complicated story

. My hope is that this experience will help them understand the gravity of their actions and maybe lead to some personal growth or something

The police were right to pursue them and track them down - justice has been served in this case

. I feel so bad for the victim at that CVS store too... no one deserves to go through an experience like that 
. It's just a really sad reminder of how quickly things can escalate when we make reckless decisions 
and now they're all recaptured but with even more serious charges... it's like a real-life action movie or something
