4 teen robbery suspects who escaped Sugar Land jail are back in custody, police say

Four teenage suspects who made headlines last weekend after escaping from the Sugar Land jail have been recaptured, police announced on Tuesday. Edmound Guillory, 19, Devontae Simon, 18, Desean Dillard, 17, and Clayton Johnson, 17, were initially arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery at a CVS store in Sugar Land last Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the suspects had assaulted a store clerk and fled with a bag of cash just before 2am. Police launched a pursuit with Houston officers but managed to track down the group, only for one of the teens to escape at around 4:50am when an SLPD jailer went to check on him.

In a shocking turn of events, the jailer was assaulted by one of the suspects and subsequently released the other prisoners. However, police were able to re-capture the four suspects after responding to reports that they had been spotted at the First Colony Church of Christ. They were taken into custody around 6:20pm on Tuesday.

The injured SLPD jailer is reportedly stable in hospital but faces additional charges related to the escape attempt. The four suspects will now face even more serious charges, including escape and attempted murder, as they are transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

๐Ÿ˜ณ I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened at that Sugar Land jail ๐Ÿคฏ Like, how does a group of teens manage to take over an entire facility? It's crazy! And poor guy who got assaulted by one of them... lucky he's stable now ๐Ÿ™

I feel so bad for the store clerk and the people affected by this robbery ๐Ÿ’ธ. The guys must have been in a desperate state to resort to violence like that. But, like, what was going on with those suspects? How did they even escape from jail in the first place? ๐Ÿค”

The whole situation with these teens is like a bad movie โ€“ one minute you're watching it unfold and thinking "what's going on?", and the next, you're left wondering how things escalated so fast.

Ugh, can you believe what these kids did?! They broke into a store, assaulted someone, and then escaped from jail?! ๐Ÿคฏ It's just crazy! I'm so relieved that they got caught again, but also really worried about the jailed guy who got hurt trying to check on them. He must be shaken up pretty badly ๐Ÿ˜•. And now they're facing even more serious charges... it's like, come on guys, get your act together! ๐Ÿ™„

omg can't believe those 4 teens managed to escape from Sugar Land jail ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿšจ like what were they thinking trying to break free in the middle of the night?! but then they get assaulted by a jailer and things just go downhill ๐Ÿ˜ฑ it's crazy how one person got hurt and now everyone else is facing way more serious charges. i'm just glad that those teens are recaptured and not causing any more trouble ๐Ÿ™ still, can't help but think about the poor jailer who got hurt while trying to do his job ๐Ÿค• hope he recovers soon

OMG u gotta wonder wat goes thru dis 1 guy's mind lol... so he escapes from jail & then assaults a guard, now hes just chillin at church with his homies? ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿš” what r the chances?? & now the other 3 are back in custody but theyre facing way more serious charges now. this is like a real-life action movie or somethin... not that ill be cheering 4 them anytime soon tho, ๐Ÿ˜’ they made some bad choices & now they gotta pay the price

๐Ÿ˜’ I'm kinda surprised that the cops were able to track down the teens so fast after one of them escaped. I mean, it's not like the jailer was wrong for checking on him, but still... ๐Ÿค” I think we need to rethink our prison system here. Allowing a jailer to check on an inmate should be part of their job description, you know? Not like they're supposed to just sit around all day twiddling their thumbs waiting for someone to break out. ๐Ÿ’ผ It's crazy that one of the teens got hurt too and now he'll have extra charges to deal with... justice isn't always fair, is it? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I'm kinda shocked that this situation unfolded like it did... I mean, you'd think that getting caught would be a pretty straightforward process for escaped inmates, but apparently not in this case ๐Ÿค”. It's still mind-blowing that one of the jailers got assaulted by one of the teens and ended up releasing them all ๐Ÿšซ. And can you believe they were spotted at a church? Like, wasn't that supposed to be a safe place for a peaceful congregation? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Anyway, I do think it's good that the police were able to track down the suspects eventually and recapture them. But seriously, this whole situation raises some serious questions about prison security and how something like this could happen in the first place ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. And what really gets me is that one of the jailers is now facing additional charges because of their actions during the escape attempt... it's just another layer of complexity to an already complicated story ๐Ÿ’”.

As for the suspects, I guess they'll be facing even more serious charges and a longer sentence now that they're behind bars once again โš–๏ธ. My hope is that this experience will help them understand the gravity of their actions and maybe lead to some personal growth or something ๐Ÿคž. But we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out...

OMG, what a crazy weekend for Sugar Land ๐Ÿ˜ฑ! I'm so glad those 4 teens are finally recaptured, it's just not right that one of them escaped and hurt a jailer ๐Ÿค•. And can you even believe they had the nerve to attack an innocent clerk at CVS? ๐Ÿค‘ The police were right to pursue them and track them down - justice has been served in this case ๐Ÿ™Œ. But seriously, the fact that 1 of their own took advantage of the situation is what's really shocking... like, what kind of loyalty is that? ๐Ÿ˜’ The injured jailer just needs a speedy recovery ๐Ÿ’ช, and those teens are facing some serious charges now - escape and attempted murder? No joke! ๐Ÿš”. Anyway, I'm glad this nightmare is finally over for Sugar Land ๐ŸŒž #JusticeServed #PrisonEscapeFiasco #SugarLandSecurityMatters

Wow! ๐Ÿคฏ Those teens were really lucky to be recaptured... I mean, what's going on with them? They just got out of jail and already another one escapes? That's insane. The fact that a jailer was even assaulted by one of them is crazy. I'm glad the police could track them down at the church, but those kids need serious help. All these charges are piling up... escape, attempted murder... they're going to be in for it now. ๐Ÿค•

That's crazy! I can only imagine how scared that police officer must've been when he was attacked ๐Ÿค•. I'm just glad he's going to be okay, though - it's a huge weight off everyone's minds. Those teenagers made some really poor choices and now they're facing serious consequences ๐Ÿ’ฏ. I feel so bad for the victim at that CVS store too... no one deserves to go through an experience like that ๐Ÿ˜”. It's just a really sad reminder of how quickly things can escalate when we make reckless decisions ๐Ÿšจ.

can you believe how crazy this story is ๐Ÿคฏ? like, these teens were supposed to be in jail for an aggravated robbery and then one of them just breaks free at 4:50am? and then another jailer gets assaulted? that's wild! ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ฅ and now they're all recaptured but with even more serious charges... it's like a real-life action movie or something ๐ŸŽฅ. i'm just glad the injured jailer is stable in hospital though, that could've been super bad ๐Ÿ˜ท. and i have to wonder what was going through those teens' minds when they decided to escape in the first place? were they just desperate for attention or what? ๐Ÿค” anyway, justice seems to be serving them well right now ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

omg u gotta feel bad for that poor jailer ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿš‘ he's lucky he's stable in hospital already! can't believe those teens had such a close call, one of them even assaulted him like wut r they thinkin?! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ and now they're facing way more serious charges, hope they learn from their mistakes ๐Ÿ’” justice will be served 4 sure
