A 65-year-old Miami man, Manuel Lopez, stood before a judge on Tuesday to face charges stemming from a violent incident that left a young victim critically injured. According to authorities, Lopez was accused of attempted murder and faced no possibility of bond.

. what really gets me is how a $10 dispute escalated into attempted murder. like, come on man, you can't even walk down the street without losing your cool over some cash 
. and now this poor kid's life is in jeopardy. hopefully he recovers soon 
. Lopez should be grateful to not get a life sentence at least, but still gonna do a good chunk of time behind bars

...like, what's even more shocking is that he went after the dude on foot with a knife, must've thought it was some kinda crazy movie or something 
. and now he's stuck behind bars, which is def the right decision. but i gotta wonder if there were other factors at play here that led to this guy's actions...like maybe he's been dealing with some personal issues or something? anyway, glad the victim is getting the help they need 
65 years old is old to be getting into stuff like this... hopefully he gets some help and doesn't hurt anyone else 
I feel bad for the young guy who got caught up in that mess... his life is never gonna be the same now. I'm all about personal responsibility, you know? If someone wants to get physical over some cash, they need to think about the consequences 
. Anyway, glad the system is looking out for that young guy and keeping Lopez locked up tight

. Denying him bond is probably for the best, though - justice has gotta be served 
. But honestly, can't we just talk it out over a drink instead of resorting to violence?

You never know what kind of day you're having or what's going on in your life. And to leave that poor victim critically injured... it's just heartbreaking. 
The fact that Lopez is already facing no bond is a good sign, but I hope he gets the help and support he needs to turn his life around. 
And to make matters worse, the victim is still in critical condition... my heart goes out to that young guy and his family
