A/C unit ignites fire at apartment building in Hollywood; no injuries reported - WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

A massive blaze engulfed a Hollywood apartment building Wednesday morning, leaving residents shaken but fortunately no one injured.

The inferno was sparked by an A/C unit on fire at the 2700 block of Johnson Street, with flames rapidly spreading throughout the structure. The swift response from the Hollywood Fire Rescue units prevented the situation from spiraling out of control.

Despite the effective firefighting efforts, one firefighter sustained injuries unrelated to the blaze and was hospitalized as a precautionary measure.

Fortunately for the occupants, no casualties were reported in the devastating incident.

😞 Just can't believe what's happening with all these wildfires lately! 🌳πŸ’₯ First it's LA and now Hollywood gets hit too? 😱 I mean, I know we're in a dry spell and all but come on! A/C unit catching fire is just crazy talk πŸ”΄πŸš’ How do you even prevent that from happening in the first place?! πŸ€” Guess that's what happens when we don't take care of our stuff properly πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ On a brighter note, super glad no one was hurt, though... that could've been a whole lot worse πŸ™. Just hope they get to the bottom of this and figure out how to prevent something like this from happening again πŸ’‘

Man, just think about it... if the A/C unit wasn't on fire, who knows what could've happened? The whole building could've gone up in flames like that πŸš’πŸ˜±. And can you imagine if a resident was home when it started? It's crazy how fast those fires spread and how lucky we are that nobody got hurt πŸ˜…. I'm glad the firefighters were on top of it, though - they're the real heroes here πŸ‘. But it just makes me think about all the what-ifs in life... like, what if you're not paying attention when you're using your AC, and suddenly your whole apartment is up in smoke? Just a weird thought to have after something like this happens πŸ€”.

can you even imagine waking up to your entire world burning down?! i mean i know we have these crazy wildfires out here but like a whole building just going up in flames is somethin else 🀯 it's terrifying thinkin about all those people runnin around in the middle of the night, not knowin what's happenin. and then to hear that no one was hurt... it's just a miracle i guess.

i feel so bad for the firefighters tho, they're puttin their lives on the line every single day and we should be thankin them more often πŸ™. but at least they were able to get there in time and prevent it from spreadin out of control. that's all any of us can really ask for, right?

anyway... just thinkin about this and i'm gettin all anxious just thinkin bout all those people's stuff goin up in flames 😩. let's all just take a deep breath and hope that everyone comes outta this okay, you feel?

πŸ˜” Just saw that massive fire in Hollywood apartment building... can't believe how fast those flames spread! Thankfully, I heard it was just an A/C unit that started the fire, not some crazy arson job πŸ˜…. Still, you'd think they'd have better safety measures in place to prevent something like this from happening in the first place.

I'm so glad everyone got out safely πŸ™, but still... what if things had gone differently? I was thinking about my parents, who lived in an apartment complex not that far away when I was a kid. They always told me to never get too comfortable, you know? Be prepared for the unexpected. And now it's a reality for so many people.

The firefighters were amazing, of course! πŸ™Œ It's crazy how they can go from zero to hero in seconds. Anyway, just sending love to all those affected by this fire ❀️.

Just had to check on what's happening with that Hollywood fire 🀯. I mean, can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and hearing flames outside your window? Crazy 😱. Thankfully the firefighters were able to put it out fast enough without anyone getting hurt. It's always a good feeling when first responders are able to do their job so quickly and efficiently πŸ’ͺ. But, like, how does an A/C unit even catch fire in the first place? πŸ€”. Anyway, glad everyone is safe and sound. Fingers crossed the firefighter recovers from those injuries soon πŸ™. It's always a good reminder that even with all the precautions, accidents can still happen. πŸš’πŸ’¨

πŸ”₯πŸš’ like seriously what's next gonna burn down LA already? A/C unit catching fire and burning down an entire building it's just too much... and they say someone has to pay for these crazy apartments lol... I'm sure the building owner is just sitting pretty with their insurance money πŸ’Έ meanwhile, our firefighters are literally risking their lives every day πŸ€• at least one person was taken to the hospital as a precaution though, that's a little better

Aww, just what I needed to brighten up my day - a massive fire in Hollywood πŸ˜’. Glad no one got hurt tho, that's always the priority right? Like, who needs their stuff when you can have your life, huh? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Seriously though, hope the firefighters are okay and get the all-clear soon.

So an A/C unit just spontaneously decides to turn into a giant fireball... I mean, what's next? πŸ”₯ Appliances going rogue? It's like they're trying to give us all a reason to upgrade to smart homes πŸ€ͺ. On a more serious note, gotta wonder how something so preventable can happen in a place that's supposed to be all about glamour and sophistication.

Anyway, at least it's not like the city was gonna let a little thing like a fire get in the way of filming or whatever 🎬. Silver linings, right?

.. I'm still trying to process this 🀯 what happened at that Hollywood apartment building. Can you even believe how lucky everyone was?! I mean, think about it - those poor people could've been trapped inside with nothing but smoke and flames for who knows how long... thank goodness the firefighters showed up ASAP πŸš’πŸ’¨. It's just crazy to think about how quickly things can go from calm to chaos in an instant.

And that firefighter who got hurt πŸ€•? You'd think it's a tragedy, but I guess it's better than losing someone during that blaze. Still, I'm just shook out of my wits thinking about the whole thing... what if those flames had spread even more?! It gives you chills to think about.

Anyway, let's all take a moment to be grateful for those heroic firefighters πŸ™ they truly are the real MVPs.

πŸš’πŸ˜± I'm just glad that no one got hurt, you know? It's crazy how fast those flames spread, but I guess it's also great that the fire rescue team was on the scene so quickly to put out the fire before it got out of control. 🀞 One firefighter did get injured, though, which is definitely a concern. Hopefully they're gonna be okay. πŸ™ It's just really sad when these things happen, especially in places where people are trying to live their lives without any drama. πŸ’” Maybe they'll have to do some renovations on the building now, who knows? 😬

Man, can't believe what happened at that Hollywood apartment building 🀯! I mean, fire starting from an AC unit is wild, you know? Luckily, the firefighters were on top of it and managed to put out the flames before they caused any major damage. That's some top-notch work right there! πŸ’ͺ

But for real though, my thoughts are with those residents who had to go through that scary situation πŸ™. At least everyone is safe and sound, which is all that matters. And yeah, it's always a good idea to double-check those AC units before leaving the house, you feel me? πŸ˜‚ Just saying, prevention is key.

So glad we have awesome firefighters like them who put their lives on the line every day πŸ™. They're the real MVPs! πŸ’•

Just got wind of that crazy fire in Hollywood and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it 🀯! Like, can you even believe an AC unit just decides to go up in flames? I mean, I know we're talking about LA here where the heat can be pretty intense, but still... it's just one of those things that makes me want to upgrade to a smart home system ASAP ⏰. And I'm not just saying that because they could've potentially prevented the whole thing with some fancy automation. But seriously, glad no one was hurt in this crazy situation! πŸ™ Those firefighters are heroes for a reason 😊.

πŸ˜” Oh man... that's crazy! I can only imagine how scary it must have been for those residents waking up to flames everywhere. 😱 I'm just glad everyone got out safely - no one should ever go through that trauma. πŸ™ You'd think you've seen it all with movies and TV shows, but this is real life... it's so heartbreaking.

And poor firefighter! πŸ€• Hope they're okay and not dealing with anything too serious. πŸ˜” Firefighting can be super intense, I guess you really have to be on your toes at all times. πŸ’₯

I just hope the building gets rebuilt soon and those residents get a new place that's safe and cozy. πŸ πŸ’• They've been through enough already. πŸ€—

Omg I'm still shaking thinking about that huge fire at the Hollywood apartment building!!! 🀯😱 Thankfully everyone is safe and sound, that's all that matters right now! πŸ’• I mean, can you even imagine if someone got hurt? 😨 I'm so grateful for those firefighters who worked so fast to put out the flames. They're total heroes! ❀️ And poor firefighter who got injured, hope they're doing okay πŸ€—. It's just a crazy reminder to always be careful and check our appliances, especially that A/C unit can catch fire anytime 😬. Glad we can all breathe a sigh of relief now πŸ’¨

πŸš’πŸ’₯ just saw this news about that Hollywood apartment building fire 😱 and I'm so relieved no one got hurt πŸ™. I can imagine how terrifying it must've been to wake up to flames licking at their doors πŸ”₯. thankfully, those firefighters were on the scene super fast πŸ’¨ and managed to put out the fire before it spread too much.

I feel for that firefighter who got hurt tho 😞. hope they're gonna be okay 🀞. just wow, can't believe how quickly a small issue like a faulty AC unit can turn into a full-blown disaster ⚠️. anyway, glad everyone made it out safe and sound 🌟

I've been thinking, maybe we should make those A/C units more fire-resistant or something πŸ€”? just a thought.
