Bob Weir was a songwriting powerhouse for the Grateful Dead – and the chief custodian of their legacy

just think about all the things bobby weir has been through 🤯, joining grateful dead at 16, touring with them, even making some amazing music outside of that too, like his solo stuff... but u know what's crazy? he still tours and makes music to this day, and it's not just about the money, it's about keeping the legacy alive for people like us who grew up listening to the dead 🎸💕 i mean, imagine if we're 50 or 60 years from now and someone is playing these old songs in a band that we can relate to... wouldnt that be trippy? anyway, bobby weir's dedication to preserving the music of the grateful dead is truly inspiring 💖

man i cant believe its been that long since garcia passed away 🤯 it feels like just yesterday we were all caught up in those wild live shows at kezar stadium or the boardwalk 🌊 and now bob weir is still out there making magic happen with dead & company...he's always been a huge part of the grateful dead universe but i think he really came into his own when he started working on solo projects like ace and weather report suite that stuff was so different from the group's sound but in a good way, you know? 🎸

🙏 I mean, Bob Weir is a total legend, right? The guy's been carrying the torch for the Grateful Dead for like, ever! 🎸 I remember when he first joined the band back in the day, people thought it was gonna be tough for him to fit in with those iconic guys. But he totally proved everyone wrong and became an integral part of their sound. His bond with Jerry Garcia is just incredible - they were like two peas in a pod, man. And his music? Forget about it! Weir's got this unique rhythm guitar style that adds a whole new level to the Grateful Dead's live shows. 💥 I'm all for him keeping their legacy alive through projects like "Day of the Dead" and Dead & Company - the dude's still pushing the boundaries of rock 'n' roll after all these years. And, you know, it's pretty cool that he's leaving a piece of himself to future generations... maybe one day we'll be dancing to Weir's tunes in 200 or 300 years 🤯!
