Bruce Springsteen Joins Tom Morello at Anti-Ice Show in Minneapolis: 'Sometimes You Have to Kick Them in the Teeth'

I'm not sure about this whole benefit concert thing... I mean, don't get me wrong, Bruce Springsteen is an amazing performer, but isn't using concerts as fundraisers for specific causes kinda overkill? Like, can't we just donate money to organizations that help immigrant families or something? And what's with the whole "kick them in the teeth" vibe from Tom Morello... feels like a bunch of hippie nonsense if you ask me 😐. Still, I guess it's cool that music brought some people together to protest against anti-immigrant policies 🤝. Just wish they could've found a more constructive way to address the problem... 🤔

I'm literally thinking Bruce Springsteen is totally gonna be a fascist enabler just 'cause he's playing with some dude Tom Morello who's got some pretty radical views 🤷‍♂️... but at the same time, I can kinda see how his music has always been about resistance and stuff, so maybe he actually does know what he's doing? 🤔 And, on a completely different note, First Avenue club is literally my fave venue in Minneapolis - have you guys ever been?! 😍

lol i'm glad to hear that Bruce Springsteen brought the heat at this benefit concert! 🤘 but let's get some facts straight, okay? so tom morello is part of rage against the machine, right? and they're known for their activism against social injustice... which makes sense given what happened to renée good and alex pretti. anyway, it's awesome that music was used as a powerful tool to resist anti-immigrant policies - we need more of this in our world! 🎸 but can someone please fact-check tom morello's lyrics about fascism being on the rise? i don't wanna spread any misinformation 😅

Man... just witnessed this crazy powerful concert last night 🤩💥 and I'm still reeling from the energy. Bruce Springsteen's performance was like a punch to the gut, you know? The way he delivered those lyrics about systemic oppression and anti-immigrant violence was just so raw and real. It felt like we were all in on it together, you know? He wrote that song "Streets of Minneapolis" specifically for this event and it's clear that music is still a major force for change in the world right now.

I mean, think about it... these aren't just random musicians getting up on stage to play some songs. These are people who have been using their platform to speak out against injustice for decades. And when you put them together like this, with a cause and a purpose, it's like the whole room is infused with a sense of urgency and defiance. It's infectious, you know? The crowd was totally into it, fists raised high... it was like we were all in this together.

And let's not forget about Tom Morello, man. He's been talking about fascism being on the rise for years now and it's clear that he's not messing around. His rallying cry at the end of the concert is exactly what we need right now - a call to action to resist, protest, defend against... all that jazz. It was like the whole room was charged with this sense of purpose and determination.

Anyway, just wanted to process all of that for a sec 💭
