so scammers are sending fake texts saying mobile phone ops are giving away prizes and if u dont act fast u lose points... meanwhile they just wanna steal ur money
i think its crazy that ppl dont report these msgs to the "report spam" feature on their phones its like, literally one tap away from getting scammed
EE & Vodafone are all like "nope we didnt send those texts" but they should be doing more to block these malicious msgs
anyway here's a simple flowchart of what u should do if u get one of these fake texts

omg u guys need 2 be careful w/ these fake msg from phone co ! i got one last wk and i almost fell 4 it lol. its like they're tryin 2 make u feel like ur gettin a sweet prize but really u r just openin urself up 2 scammers . dont click on the link, report it ASAP w/ ur phone's spam button or forward it 2 7726. and if u've already given ur info away online, contact ur bank n report it straight away . these scammers r gettin desperate w/ their "urgency phishing" tactic tryin 2 rush u into somethin u don't wanna do. stay vigilant, peeps!
Ugh, remember those spam emails back in 2003 that were all about "winning" free Xbox consoles? I swear, scammers never change . These fake text messages are just a variation of the same old tactics, preying on people's impulsive nature to get them to click on something suspicious. I'm surprised they're still using this "urgency phishing" trick β it's so predictable. Can't we just block these numbers like we used to with caller ID back in the day? And what's up with mobile phone operators not doing anything about it? They're basically just playing along...
Wow people need to be more careful when clicking on links from random texts! Scammers are getting smarter and using tactics like "urgency phishing" to trick us into giving away our info. Why haven't phone operators done something about blocking these fake texts yet? Interesting how EE is trying to work with Apple and Google but no action's been taken
ugh these scammers r so clever but we gotta stay one step ahead like how we wouldn't fall for a phishing email without checking the sender's email address first, we shouldnt click on those links from suspicious texts either what I find really annoying is that it takes mobile phone operators like EE and Vodafone to take action to block these messages, shouldn't they just do it by default? anyway, if u receive one of these texts, dont be a hero, report it ASAP! let's stay safe online and scam-free
