Eagles offensive coordinator search, coach rumor and report tracker

Eagles' Quest for a New OC: A Tracker of Coordinators, Rumors and Interviews

The Philadelphia Eagles' dismal 2025 season has left them in desperate need of a shake-up. As the team begins its search for a new offensive coordinator, several names have surfaced as potential candidates.

At the top of the Eagles' wish list are Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll, according to recent reports. McDaniel, the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, is known for his unorthodox offense that emphasizes pre-snap motion and misdirection. His departure from Miami has left some wondering if he's truly ready to leave his mark on a new team.

Daboll, on the other hand, has a more checkered past as an NFL head coach. After a disastrous tenure with the New York Giants, Daboll was fired in-season for making public outbursts and interfering with concussion protocol. However, his time as the Buffalo Bills' OC saw him develop Josh Allen into a top-tier quarterback.

Other coaches who have been linked to the Eagles' open position include Zac Robinson of the Atlanta Falcons, Christian Parker of the Philadelphia Eagles (who is reportedly leaving the team), Jim Bob Cooter of the Indianapolis Colts, and Bobby Slowik of the Miami Dolphins.

Bobby Slowik has been identified as a potential candidate for the Eagles OC job.

Additionally, the Eagles have expressed interest in Charlie Weis Jr., a 32-year-old coach who was previously under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss. Weis has gained attention for his work with quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who finished eighth in Heisman voting last season.

With multiple interviews and rumors swirling around the league, the Eagles' search for a new OC is on full display. Only time will tell if one of these candidates can restore the team's offense to former glory.

The list of potential candidates continues to grow, but for now, only a handful are being seriously considered for the open position.

**Tracking the Candidates:**

1. Mike McDaniel
2. Brian Daboll
3. Zac Robinson
4. Bobby Slowik
5. Jim Bob Cooter
6. Charlie Weis Jr.
7. Christian Parker

OMG, I'm like totally feeling the Eagles need a major shake-up 🤯💥. They've been stuck in neutral for years and it's time for some fresh blood on offense 🔄. McDaniel is def my top pick, his Dolphins offense was 🔥 last year and I love the way he thinks outside the box 📦. But Daboll has got some baggage, that Giants stint was rough 🤕. Zac Robinson is also an interesting guy, his playcalling in Atlanta was on point 📊. And can we talk about Charlie Weis Jr.? The kid's a genius 👏, I've been following him since Ole Miss and he's always pushing the boundaries of QB development 💪.

It's gonna be hard to choose between all these talented coaches, but if anyone can bring that Eagles magic back, it's gotta be one of these guys 🔮. Fingers crossed they find their OC soon, this team needs a boost 🤞

I think the Eagles need a total overhaul, you know? They were getting smoked by like 10 points every week. McDaniel's offense sounds pretty interesting tho 🤔, but I dunno if he's ready for that big time yet. Daboll's got some baggage though... 🚫 And what's with all these other coaches popping up out of nowhere? Weis Jr. seems like a cool kid tho, got a good rep at Ole Miss 🎓. The thing is, the Eagles need someone who can get their offense firing on all cylinders ASAP 💥. Fingers crossed they find the right guy! 🤞 [link to 247Sports article](https://247sports.com/nfl/teams/philly/eagles/breaking)

omg I'm so down for a new OC coach the Eagles need a total shake up after that 2025 season 🤯🏈 I mean McDaniel is looking like a great option with his crazy offense but what if he's just copying everyone else? 🤔 on the other hand Daboll has some major red flags but he did turn Josh Allen into a superstar so you never know 🤑 Zac Robinson is also getting some love and his connection to the Falcons could be a plus 👍 but seriously who do the Eagles think they are gonna pick? 💬 it's gotta be someone with serious game-changer potential or they're just wasting their time 🤦‍♂️

omg i think the eagles need a total overhaul on their o side its been pretty meh for years 🤦‍♂️ they gotta bring in someone who can shake things up and get that offense firing on all cylinders. i'm low-key rooting for charlie weis jr tho he seems like a solid pick 🙌 but idk about mcdaniel his past teams didn't exactly set the world on fire lol what do u guys think?

🤔 I think the Eagles' biggest challenge isn't finding a coach who can fix their offense, it's deciding between guys with different strengths and weaknesses. McDaniel might bring some excitement with his unorthodox style, but is he ready to adapt his system to fit the team? Daboll has a solid track record as an OC, but his past as a head coach raises questions about his ability to handle the pressure.

📈 On the other hand, young guns like Weis and Robinson have shown promise in their roles so far. It's interesting that the Eagles are considering guys with different levels of experience - it'll be cool to see how they shake out.

💡 One thing's for sure: whatever coach ends up getting the job will need to address some key issues, like developing the team's running game and finding more consistent quarterback play. Wish them luck! 👍
