Former Eagles will get their shot – or another one – at hoisting the Lombardi

For Philadelphia Eagles fans, Sunday's Super Bowl LX will bring a mix of excitement and bittersweet nostalgia as the team battles it out for another championship title. Even though Philly may not be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this time around, several former Birds players have a shot at securing their first or second Super Bowl ring.

One player who has already experienced back-to-back championships is Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams, an Eagle from 2021 to present. The pass rusher signed with New England and will look to join a select group of NFL players to win two consecutive Super Bowls with different teams.

Mack Hollins, another former Eagle, won his first ring in 2017 before joining the Patriots this year. A solid role player over the past few seasons, Hollins would earn his second championship with New England on Sunday.

The Eagles' defense has been bolstered by the arrival of Christian Elliss, a linebacker who played for the team from 2022 to present. After a stint on the practice squad and being waived in November, Elliss re-signed with the Patriots, where he's become a starter.

Meanwhile, Patrick Johnson, an edge rusher picked up by the Eagles in 2021, got cut mid-season but was picked up again by New England after a brief stint with the Giants. He'll look to secure his first playoff appearance and potentially snag his first Super Bowl ring on Sunday.

On the other side of the field, Josh Jobe has turned his career around with the Seahawks. A former undrafted Eagle in 2022, Jobe's size and athleticism made him an attractive prospect for the Seahawks' defense. By November, he was promoted to the active roster and started six games, solidifying himself as a starter.

Brady Russell, the Seahawks' fullback since last year, has been used sparingly this season but should see more playing time as OC Klint Kubiak adjusts his game plan.

Other former Eagles who are part of the Seattle contingent include Maxen Hook, an undrafted rookie tight end who signed with the Patriots' practice squad in 2025; Tyler Hall, an undrafted CB out of Wyoming who bounced around six different teams before joining the Seahawks' practice squad; and Leslie Frazier, the Eagles' former assistant head coach.

I'm not buying all this Super Bowl hype 🤔. Like, what's next? People gonna be talking about some random tight end from Philly signing with New England just to get more playing time? 🙄 I mean, I love a good underdog story as much as the next guy, but come on. It's all just a marketing ploy, if you ask me. And don't even get me started on the fact that these players are just gonna show up at the Super Bowl and expect to be heroes overnight 🤷‍♂️. I swear, it's like everyone forgets that there's actual football being played in front of their eyes. And what about all the other guys who aren't even making the playoffs? 😒

I'm kinda bummed for Philly fans this year 🤕... I mean, it's awesome that some ex-Eagles players are doing so well elsewhere, but you can't help feeling like they're on the outside looking in 😔. Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams is def a legend already with back-to-back rings under his belt 💯! And Mack Hollins just won another one! 🎉 As for Patrick Johnson and Josh Jobe, I think they deserve some love too... they've come so far from their time on the practice squad 😊. But I guess you could say this is just a weird year for Eagles fans? 🤔

I'm telling you, this Super Bowl is all about the system in place 🤔. I mean, think about it, players like Idonijah Milton Williams who have won back-to-back championships with different teams, that's some top-notch coaching right there 💪. But at the same time, you got guys like Mack Hollins who had to start over and win his first ring just to get another chance 🤦‍♂️.

And what about the practice squad system? Guys like Christian Elliss, Patrick Johnson, they're getting second chances because of it 🙏. It's like the old saying goes, 'you can't choose your team, but you can choose how you respond' 😊.

But let's not forget the role players like Josh Jobe who turned his career around with the Seahawks 💥. That's what I call player development at its finest! And Brady Russell getting more playing time, that's some great OC work 👍.

For me, it's all about how these teams are using their resources efficiently 📊. The Patriots and Eagles are clearly doing something right, while the Seahawks are trying to find their groove 💡. Who will come out on top? Only time will tell ⏰.

lol what a shocker idonijah will probably just get lost in new england's D again 🤦‍♂️ i mean don't get me wrong he was awesome for us but come on he'll be just another guy trying to win a ring with a team that's not exactly known for defense. and mack hollins? please he thinks he's gonna just waltz in there and lead the pats to victory 🙄 we all know how those teams are, it's like playing with a bunch of bricks. and as for josh jobe turning his career around... um no he'll be lucky if he doesn't get benched again 😂 those seahawks D is way too stacked for him to make an impact. maxen hook? dude was just a practice squad guy, who cares what team he's on now 🤷‍♂️

omg u think its cool when ex eagles players get to play in the super bowl? idk about me but id love 2 see idonijah "iDL" milton williams get his first ring w/ new england 🤞💥 and mack hollins is gonna be like "hey i remember being an eagle lol" 🤣 josh jobe's career turnaround story is def inspiring tho, he went from practice squad 2 starter 🙌

I'm actually kinda stoked to see these former Eagles players get a shot at their first or second Super Bowl ring 🤩. Idonijah Milton Williams is already living that two-peat life 😎, so I got love for him. Mack Hollins' journey is pretty inspiring too - who wouldn't want to win another championship with the Patriots? 🙌

But let's be real, it's bittersweet for Philly fans watching their old team-mates compete against them 💔. It's like they're fighting a part of themselves out there on the field 🏈. Still, I got faith in these players to bring home some hardware for their new teams - and maybe even make us Eagles fans proud in the process 😊.

OMG 🤩 I'm so hyped for these Eagles fans who are rooting for their favorite players to win a ring! It's amazing how far Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams has come from being an Eagle to making it to back-to-back Super Bowls with different teams 💪. And can you believe Mack Hollins is getting his second championship with the Pats? 🙌 The fact that he and others like Christian Elliss, Patrick Johnson, Josh Jobe, Brady Russell, Maxen Hook, Tyler Hall are all chasing their first or second Super Bowl rings is so inspiring 🤩. I mean, these players have worked so hard to get to this point, and it's awesome to see them finally getting the recognition they deserve 💫. The Seahawks' defense has some talented guys too, especially Josh Jobe who's come out of nowhere to become a starter 🤯! Whatever happens on Sunday, it's all about these players making their dreams come true and giving it their all ⚡

🤔 I'm low-key salty that our guys aren't all reppin' Philly on Sunday 🎉 but I got major respect for them grindin' it out with new teams 💪 Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams is the real MVP, goin' back-to-back in two different teams 🔥 Mack Hollins gettin' his second ring with Pats is sick too 🙌 Can't wait to see Christian Elliss and Patrick Johnson bring home that W for New England 🏈👊 And I'm glad Josh Jobe turned his career around, he deserves it 💯 It's all about the wins at the end of the day, even if we ain't in the mix this year 🤷‍♂️

idk why ppl think its weird for birds players to win with other teams 🤷‍♂️ they all earned it, idonijah "iDL" miltion willsh gonna join some legit crew, same w/ mack hollins & patrick johnson 👊 can't help but root 4 these guys tho 💪

I gotta say, it's wild to see these ex-Eagles players gettin' a shot at another ring 🤯. Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams goin' for back-to-back with New England? That's no joke, fam! 💥 Mack Hollins earnin' his second title with the Pats? Solid player, but he's got some serious braggin' rights now 😎. And on the other side of the field, Josh Jobe's turned his career around with the Seahawks 🙌. He's a great example that you can always get another shot, even if it takes a little time 🕰️. I'm hyped for Patrick Johnson too, he's been through some ups and downs, but he's still grindin' 💪. And those other ex-Eagles players? Leslie Frazier as the Seahawks' OC? That's some serious expertise right there 🤓. Go Pats...I mean, go Eagles! 🏈

it's crazy how some of these guys went from Philly to New England and are still killing it 🤯 idonijah "iDL" milton wills is one for the books, back-to-back super bowls with two different teams that's impressive. but at the same time, it's bittersweet for eagles fans because we didn't get to see them take down the pats this year 😔 mac hollins got his second ring and looks like he's found a new home with ne. elliss is an interesting case, went from practice squad to starter with the patriots 🔄 josh jobe's career turnaround with the seahawks is awesome, dude went from undrafted to starter in just one season 💪 brady russell should see more time on the field now that klint kubiak's adjusted his game plan 🔥

omg u gotta feel for these eagles guys who made it to super bowl lxi 🤯 idonijah "iDL" will be so hyped to win 2 super bowls with diff teams 😂 mack hollins is like the ultimate super bowl veteran now lol and christian elliss went from being waived in nov to starting for new england 🙌 patrick johnson's career arc is wild 🤔 josh jobe turned his life around with seahawks and now he's a starter 💪 brady russell might see more playing time under klint kubiak's game plan 👀

OMG 🤯 I'm so stoked for these former Eagles players making it to the Super Bowl! Idonijah "iDL" Milton Williams is giving me major feels with that back-to-back championship thing 🏆💪 Mack Hollins, you're like my bro, grinding hard for another ring 💼🔥 Christian Elliss, I'm loving your comeback story 🙌 and Patrick Johnson, you got this! ⚡

And can we talk about Josh Jobe's transformation with the Seahawks? He's like a whole new player 🔄 from undrafted to starter vibes 🔝. And Brady Russell is due for some serious playing time, I'm rooting for him 💪🏽.
