George Clinton talks teaming up with Detroit Opera Orchestra - Detroit Metro Times

Man, I'm so down for this concert 🤩! It's crazy to think that George Clinton is bringing his P-Funk vibes back to the D-Town 🎉, where it all started for him. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a full orchestra bringin' the house down with "One Nation Under a Groove" or "Flash Light"? 🌟 It's gonna be outta sight, trust me! I'm hyped that they're keepin' it funky and not skimpin' on the classics. Can't wait to see Ray Chew work his magic on stage 🎵. And for George, it's like he's comin' home to where it all began – talk about a homecoming party 🎉! Ticket prices might be a bit steep, but trust me, it's gonna be worth it 💸.
 
I'm so stoked about this concert 🤩 but I don't know if it's really going to happen - I mean, have you seen the lineup for the last few years? They always cancel at the last minute... and on the other hand, George Clinton is literally a legend 🙌 and his music has been saving my life since I was a kid. I'm all about that symphonic PFunk life 💫 but can we talk about how some of these old-school funk acts are still kinda stuck in the past? Like, don't get me wrong, Parliament Funkadelic is iconic and all, but have they ever explored any new sounds or styles? The more I think about it, the more I'm both hyped for this concert AND skeptical about its potential...
 
omg u guys i'm like totally freaking out about george clinton comin to detroit 🤯 i mean we know he's been callin it home 4eva but can u imagine the energy at the opera house w/ his iconic p-funk sound & a full orchestra?! 🎵👏 i need tix ASAP! and u gotta think about it, 50th anniversary tour? that means he's still got some tricks up his sleeve... maybe he'll drop some new music? 🤫 also, has anyone noticed how convenient it is 4 him 2 come back 2 detroit @ this time? seems like a perfect setup 4 a "celebration" of parliament funkyadelic... 🤑
 
🎵 OMG, I'm so stoked that George Clinton is coming to Detroit! 🤩 He's like, the king of funk and has been such an inspiration to me and so many other artists. I love how he's teaming up with the orchestra to give his music a whole new level of depth - it's gonna be SO epic! 🔥 I've seen him live before and it's always a wild ride (in the best way possible, lol). This concert is gonna be out of this world, just like George said 😎.
