Google’s updated Veo model can make vertical videos from reference images with 4K upscaling

Google's just made a major update to its Veo video AI model 🚀. I mean, who doesn't love having more control over their videos? The new 3.1 version is huge - you can now create vertical vids from reference images with 4K upscaling! It's crazy how far this technology has come since last year... the output is way more consistent now and it's awesome that you can generate multiple clips with changes to settings or style while keeping other elements the same.

I'm also stoked about the mobile-first video feature 📱. Social apps like Instagram and TikTok are all about vertical content, so this update is a game-changer for creators who want to share vids on those platforms. And, of course, it's always awesome to see YouTube Shorts getting more support 📈! Overall, this update is a major leap forward for AI video capabilities - can't wait to see what the future holds 💻!

I'm stoked about Google's new Veo update 🤩 but I gotta say, 4K upscaling is still kinda wonky to me 😐. I mean, it's great that they've improved the model's fidelity and consistency, but I'd love to see more experimentation with different styles and effects. That being said, the ability to generate vertical videos from reference images is super useful 📈, especially for social media platforms.

I'm also excited about the expanded support for mobile-first video in Veo - it's always a pain to crop vids on Instagram or TikTok 🤪. And I love that users can now specify outputs in a 9:16 ratio 📊. However, I do wish they'd made more of an effort to address the issues with native formats... still 1080p and 4K aren't exactly what you'd call "native" 😅. Overall, though, this update is a big deal for Google's AI video capabilities 💥!

I'm loving this new update from Google, especially with the vertical videos 📹. I mean, think about it - social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok are all about vertical content these days, so it's awesome that Veo can now handle that natively. The 4K upscaling is also a major win, as it means your vids will look super sharp and polished.

The fact that you can provide three images for the AI to work with is really cool too - it adds this level of depth and realism to your videos. And I'm glad they've improved the model's fidelity, because let's be real, nothing's worse than a video that just feels... off. 🤔

The mobile-first support is also super convenient, as you can now upload vids in those perfect vertical ratios without having to do any extra work. It's all about making it easy for creators to produce high-quality content on-the-go.

Overall, I think this update is a major step forward for Veo and AI video capabilities in general. Can't wait to see what other cool features they come up with next! 🤩

idk about this new veo thing 🤔... so google can make videos now from just pics and stuff? that sounds like some sci-fi movie nonsense to me. what's next, making food or something? 🍴 and 4k upscaling is just gonna make the vids all blurry and whatnot. and why do we need vertical vids on instagram already? can't they just leave it as square or something? 😒
