I'm not sure about this one . I mean, a whole festival dedicated to hot air balloons? It's just so... mainstream . Can't we think outside the box for once? A few balloon launches and some cheesy events don't really excite me. What's next? A giant ballon drop in the middle of winter ? I'd rather see some more unique and creative activities that actually cater to the community's interests.

And what about the environmental impact of all those hot air balloons? Not to mention the traffic and crowds it'll attract . I'm not trying to be a grump, but sometimes I wish we could find ways to make events more sustainable and thought-provoking. Oh well, I guess that's just not part of the "fun" vibe .

omg I'm so down for this!!! It's that time of year again where hudson becomes a winter wonderland! The Torchlight Parade is always a highlight for me, and I love how they've got something for everyone - from pancake breakfasts to scavenger hunts. And those balloon launches are just breathtaking Can't wait to try out some of the foodie deals and participate in the scavenger hunt (fingers crossed I win those prizes ). The fact that there's a prize drop fundraiser for the St Croix Valley Food Bank is really cool, it shows they're not just about partying but also giving back. And who wouldn't want to compete in the Battle of the Beverages & Bites? Bring it on!
