The Sixers' Full House a Plus for Coach Nurse and Team.
For the first time since December 18, 2023, head coach Nick Nurse had his full complement of players available to take on the Washington Wizards. With Kelly Oubre Jr., Trendon Watford, and Joel Embiid all cleared to play after lengthy absences, the Sixers were able to get back on track with a dominating 131-110 victory over their Eastern Conference rivals.
The return of key players was a welcome sight for Nurse, who acknowledged that getting his team back up to speed in terms of conditioning and rhythm will take time. "It's great," he said. "Getting them all there, if they get there, is the first step." While Oubre and Watford were both limited in their playing time early on due to injury, Nurse indicated that he doesn't plan to approach the upper limits of those restrictions anytime soon.
Despite being without two key players at times during the game, the Sixers' bench performed well enough to give the team a needed boost. In fact, it was a much-needed one. The Wizards were decimated by injury and played without several of their top players, providing an ideal opportunity for the Sixers to get back on track.
Oubre's return from injury was marked with some promising signs for Nurse, who indicated that he may be open to using Oubre as part of his starting lineup in the future. "It's probably an open conversation," he said. The possibility of a platoon system, where Oubre and Dominick Barlow share time at shooting guard and power forward respectively could provide some much-needed depth for the team.
In terms of overall performance, it was another dominant showing from Embiid, George, and Maxey who combined to score 54 points in the first half alone. However, despite their stellar play, the Sixers still struggled with defense during that initial eight minutes with Adem Bona on the floor. Fortunately for Nurse, Drummond came through to provide some much-needed backcourt defense and knock down several late corner threes.

And another thing, why didn't Nurse give those injured players more time to get up to speed before throwing them into action? seems like they're just trying to rush back without conditioning... 
Coach Nurse is killing it with the team right now, getting everyone healthy and back on track. Kelly Oubre Jr's return from injury was everything we hoped for - he brought that fire 
. We need to see this consistency from the team as we head into those tough next few games. A win against the Magic would be huge
