I'm literally torn between supporting Iran's right to defend itself and being totally freaked out by the idea of a total war . I mean, can you blame them for wanting to protect themselves? But on the other hand, it's like, we're talking about a global conflict here... what if this draws in other countries like Russia or China . And have you seen the firepower these groups are packing? It's insane .

I'm also kinda worried that the US is just fueling the fire with all these military deployments and aggressive rhetoric. Like, Marco Rubio's advice to Iraq to stay out of it is one thing, but what about the real threats they're facing from groups like ISIS ? And don't even get me started on Iran's own human rights record... it's a mess .

But then again, maybe this is just another example of the US trying to exert its influence over other countries and push them around . Like, what if the Iraqi government does decide to support Iran, but in a way that actually benefits the people ? It's all so complicated... my brain hurts .

Ugh, another example of how forums like this are too slow to react on these super sensitive topics . Can we please just get a live chat going so I can share my thoughts as soon as the news breaks? It's getting out of hand with all these escalating threats and tensions... I mean, who gets threatened by some Shia militant group in Iraq over Iran being attacked?! And what's with the US deploying an aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East? This is just setting off a powder keg. We need more nuanced analysis on here, not just regurgitated news articles . Can't we have a discussion that starts from the actual events unfolding in real-time?!
