Actor Kiefer Sutherland Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Ride-Share Driver

Los Angeles police have taken action against Kiefer Sutherland, star of hit TV series '24' and cult vampire flick 'The Lost Boys', after he was allegedly involved in a violent altercation with a ride-share driver.

According to the LAPD, the 59-year-old actor entered the vehicle and physically assaulted the driver, leaving them shaken. Additionally, police stated that Sutherland made criminal threats towards the victim, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Sutherland was subsequently taken into custody shortly after midnight on Monday but was released a few hours later following the posting of $50,000 in bail. A court date has been scheduled for February 2nd, at which point Sutherland will face justice over his alleged actions.

this guy's been acting like a total psycho for years 🤯 in shows like 24 he plays this character who's so over-the-top violent and crazy, but i guess real life isn't as scripted 📺 it's sad that someone with such talent and success can resort to violence, especially against someone doing their job. the fact that he was released on bail after a few hours feels kinda lenient, tbh 🤑 hoping the court date will bring some clarity to what really happened...

I mean who wouldn't want to get into their car with someone famous? And now Kiefer Sutherland's reputation is all over the place 📺. You're right, this could be a one-time mistake or maybe there's more going on that we don't know about... either way, I'm sure his team will come out soon and say something, but for now it's good to see justice being pursued 💼. Kiefer Sutherland has always been known for his tough guy roles, but assault? that's not exactly what comes to mind when you think of him. I mean, $50k bail doesn't seem like a lot considering he's supposed to be some big-time actor. did we miss something about this guy? was there something going on before the incident that we don't know about? it's just weird...
