More than 100 classic episodes of Sesame Street are now streaming on YouTube and YouTube Kids

YouTube has just made it easier for parents to keep their little ones entertained for months to come with the addition of over 100 classic episodes of Sesame Street now streaming on both YouTube and YouTube Kids.

As part of a collaboration between Sesame Workshop, the brainchild behind the beloved children's show, and YouTube, fans can now enjoy hours of nostalgic content featuring iconic characters like Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, and Bert. The platform is also offering themed compilations focusing on specific educational topics, including ABCs, STEM, "Adventure & Imagination," and "Friendship & Play."

For media enthusiasts with a soft spot for retro television history, the new Sesame Street archive is a must-visit destination. The very first episode of the show, which aired in 1969, has been added to the collection, providing a fascinating glimpse into how Kermit, Big Bird, and Bert were introduced to audiences back in the day.

While this development marks an exciting new chapter for Sesame Street on YouTube, it's worth noting that the partnership does not overlap with another deal recently penned by Sesame Workshop. The show has indeed made the leap to Netflix, with a decade-long relationship with HBO coming to an end as the network opted not to renew their contract.

I'm so stoked about this! 🀩 My little nephews are obsessed with Sesame Street and it's awesome that YouTube is making all these classic episodes available again. I mean, who didn't grow up watching Kermit and Big Bird teach kids about letters and numbers? It's like a blast from the past for me too - I used to watch the show when I was a kid and now my own kiddos are enjoying it just as much.

I think this is a great move by YouTube to cater to families with little ones. The themed compilations are a genius idea, and I love that they're focusing on educational topics like STEM and friendship. My niece loves watching the "Adventure & Imagination" episodes - it's amazing how Sesame Street still manages to inspire creativity in kids today.

It's also cool that YouTube is offering this archive as part of their platform. I've been exploring some old VHS tapes at thrift stores lately, trying to relive my childhood, and this is the perfect addition to any retro TV collection πŸ“ΊπŸ’•

omg i cant even believe youtube is adding more sesame street content it's like a dream come true for kids (and let's be honest, us nostalgic adults too) πŸ€©πŸ“Ί my niece loves watching those shows and now she'll have so many new episodes to binge watch on youtube kids πŸ“šπŸ’» i'm also loving the themed compilations they're offering especially the abc one since my kid is learning that in school rn πŸ“ŠπŸŽ‰ but yeah it's kinda weird that sesame workshop signed a deal with netflix already... guess we won't be seeing those episodes there anytime soon 😐

OMG I'm totally stoked about this new addition 🀩! My niece is obsessed with Sesame Street and it's going to be a lifesaver for me keeping her entertained during the long school holidays πŸ’Ό. The themed compilations are genius too, my little one loves learning about ABCs and STEM concepts πŸ“šπŸ’‘. I'm just hoping YouTube Kids gets an update soon so we can watch all these classic episodes together πŸ‘«. Can't wait to introduce Kermit and Big Bird to the next gen! 😊

Ugh, great, just what we need more screen time for these little ones... πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I mean, I'm sure it's super educational and all that jazz, but let's be real, they're gonna end up watching cat videos or playing Fortnite on YouTube Kids instead of actually learning anything. And now Sesame Street is just another option to get sucked into the endless scroll vortex... πŸ“ΊπŸ˜’

I'm loving this new addition to YouTube Kids 🀩! My little ones are going to have so much fun watching all these classic Sesame Street episodes πŸŽ‰. I mean, who doesn't love Kermit and Big Bird? 😊 It's amazing how something that's been around for decades can still bring joy to kids (and let's be honest, parents too!) πŸ˜‰ The themed compilations are a great idea, too - my daughter loves learning new things about ABCs and STEM πŸ“šπŸ’‘. And wow, the first episode of Sesame Street is being added to the collection? That's like, totally nostalgic for me 😊. I'm just hoping they'll keep adding more episodes over time... it feels like a whole new world opening up for kids (and parents!) on YouTube! 🌐

I don’t usually comment but I think this is awesome 🀩! My little nephew loves watching Sesame Street and it's always been a struggle finding new shows that keep him engaged for long periods of time. This addition of classic episodes on YouTube is like a dream come true πŸ‘, especially with the themed compilations focusing on educational topics. It's also super cool to see the very first episode of the show from 1969 - it really gives you an idea of how much history and nostalgia is packed into this iconic show πŸ“Ί! But I do wonder if they'll ever put more episodes up, especially since Sesame Workshop has another deal with Netflix... πŸ€”

I think its kinda awesome that they're making these classic episodes available on YouTube, I mean like who doesn't love watching Kermit and Big Bird from back in the day? Its also super cool that they've got them organized by topic, so you can easily find stuff about ABCs or STEM if that's what your kid is into right now. The first episode being added to the collection is pretty wild too, I mean imagine seeing how its all started all those years ago! But idk why they're not just making it a full YouTube channel instead of separating it out like this?

😊 I'm so stoked about this new move by YouTube and Sesame Street! I mean, who doesn't love a good dose of nostalgia? 🀩 I've got two little ones at home and they're obsessed with Sesame Street - it's been a lifesaver on long road trips and rainy days. Adding all these classic episodes and themed compilations is going to be a game-changer for parents like me who want to keep their kiddos entertained without breaking the bank πŸ’Έ.

But, I gotta say, I'm a bit curious about why Sesame Workshop is teaming up with YouTube and not another platform? πŸ€” I mean, we all know how popular Netflix has been with Sesame Street lately... maybe there's more to this deal than meets the eye? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Still can't wait to dive into the new archive and revisit some of my childhood faves! πŸŽ‰

I'm loving this new addition on YouTube! My little one is obsessed with Sesame Street and I've been struggling to find enough content for them lately 🀣. Now we can binge-watch classic episodes together, it's going to be a lifesaver! The themed compilations are also so cool, my child loves learning about ABCs and counting numbers (I'm not ashamed to admit I need help with that too πŸ˜‚). It's great that they're including old episodes of the very first season, it's like taking a trip down memory lane. And, um, Netflix is where Sesame Workshop is headed now... I don't really stream on Netflix myself since my phone doesn't support their app πŸ“΅. Anyway, can't wait to start watching some retro fun with my kiddo!
