omg u guys can u believe what happened?? this cop threw a full igloo cooler at some dude on a scooter and now he's gonna do 15 yrs like wut is wrong with our cops?! this is so sus especially when ur watching the vid and duprey picks up the cooler with both hands... that says it all lol. i'm not saying anyone is innocent but like come on erik duran shoulda known better than to throw a heavy icebox at some dude the system needs to step it up and make sure our cops r trained right
I don't usually comment but I just can't help thinking that this whole thing is super messed up ... like, what's the point of throwing an Igloo cooler at someone? Is it really necessary to use that kind of force in an undercover sting operation? It seems like it was just a reckless move by Duran and now Duprey is dead ... I don't get how a guy who's trying to do his job can be so careless with his life and the lives of others . And what really gets me is that this all went down 2 years ago and it only just hit the news ... like, why the delay? Is it because the authorities were trying to sweep it under the rug or something?
Man, this is super concerning... how do you expect people to trust cops when they're just going to throw a cooler at someone? it's just crazy that Duran thought he was protecting his fellow officers but really he was putting himself and others at risk. I feel bad for Duprey's family, it's totally unfair what happened to him... 15 years in prison is still pretty harsh though. hopefully this case will lead to some changes in how police departments handle undercover operations and training, because we can't keep having this kind of thing happen.
I'm so worried about this case , it's just not right that a guy like Erik Duran gets to face only 15 years max for killing someone with his bare hands (literally, he threw an Igloo cooler at Eric Duprey) . I mean, can you imagine if that was your sibling or friend on the scooter? The family is already traumatized and now they have to deal with this conviction too . It's like, how many times do we need to see police officers get away with reckless behavior before we take some serious action? We know it's not just about punishing them, but also about making sure that something like this never happens again. More training and protocols for undercover ops would be a great start
this is so messed up, like what was going through that dude's mind when he threw a full Igloo cooler at someone?! it's not like he had to save anyone, just another officer trying to get the job done and being super reckless the justice system can't be too harsh on him, 15 yrs is still way too lenient imo, but I guess he got found guilty so that's all that matters for now
