Philly is Set to Go Dry on January 17-18 with a Massive Bar Crawl in Fishtown and Northern Liberties.
The city's bar scene is joining forces with health enthusiasts this January as Fishtown and Northern Liberties host the first-ever joint Dry January bar crawl. On Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th, over 25 bars, breweries, and restaurants will come together to offer an array of zero-proof cocktails, mocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks that are sure to quench even the thirstiest of patrons.
Organized by the neighborhoods themselves, the crawl is self-guided, meaning you won't need a ticket or wristband to join in on the fun. Instead, bar-goers will simply pay as they go for specially priced drinks ranging from $6 to $10. Some spots will offer food specials and social events that'll keep the party going long into the night.
The list of participating venues reads like a who's who of Philly's most popular bars and breweries. From the Standard Tap to Yards Brewing Co., Evil Genius Beer Co., Frankford Hall, Jerry's Bar, Amina, and Mamajuana Cafe Philly – no one is left out. Even newcomers like Bar Palmina are stepping into the fray.

we could have a massive nationwide bar crawl with zero-proof cocktails and mocktails! it would be so cool to see ppl from all over taking care of their bodies while still having fun at bars. plus, think of the economic impact - ppl wouldn't need to spend as much money on booze 
and it's so cool that the bars are getting creative with their mocktails too... i'm thinking of trying out a virgin mojito or something

The thing that got me thinking about life is how we make choices when we know there might not be consequences later down the line... like in this case, Dry January 
. I mean, who wants to indulge in a night of drinking with a hangover tomorrow? But at the same time, it's tempting to let loose and have fun without worrying about being responsible. It makes me think that we gotta weigh our desires against what we know is best for ourselves... or others 
. And I guess that's the key to making good choices: being aware of the potential outcomes and taking responsibility for them

. Like, no one needs a whole day of drinking zero-proof cocktails to prove they can handle themselves. And what's with all these new 'food specials' just to keep the party going? Just gonna be overpriced snacks and mediocre food, mark my words. Plus, 25 bars in Fishtown and Northern Liberties? It's just gonna get super crowded and noisy, and I'm sure the cops will have a field day trying to manage the whole thing

gonna make sure to check it out on sat jan 17th and sun jan 18th with friends 
anyway, at least it'll be good for the bars that are gonna do well, right? Standard Tap is always hoppin' so I guess they're in for a sweet payday 
And did u know that zero-proof cocktails have increased by 300% since last year? 
It's no wonder they're expecting a huge turnout – over 10k people r expected to join in!

And how do they know everyone's gonna wanna join in? Is it just because bars and breweries are partnering up or is there something else happening?
. I mean, people love drinking and having a good time, so maybe they're just trying to make some extra cash by selling water
