Tell us: have you been affected by the US storm?

Seven fatalities have been confirmed in the United States as a powerful winter storm tore through the country, leaving millions without power, schools and roads shut down, and flights grounded. The National Weather Service issued warnings for 26 states spanning from Texas to Massachusetts over the weekend, with many of these alerts remaining in effect this week.

The extreme cold was causing widespread disruption, with temperatures plummeting as low as -20C in parts of Texas. Residents are now facing a daunting challenge as they try to cope with the aftermath of the storm.

We're reaching out to those affected by this severe weather event to hear their stories. How has the storm impacted your life? Are you safe and able to access basic necessities, or have you been without power for an extended period?

Your safety is our top priority. If you're willing to share your experience with us, please do so from a secure location where you can take care of yourself. We urge caution and common sense when sharing your story, as extreme weather events can be unpredictable and carry significant risks.

We want to hear from you – how are you coping in the aftermath of this powerful storm?

Omg this winter storm is insane 🀯! I feel so bad for those who lost power and heat during it. I live in NY and we're lucky to have some heat still, but my neighbor's family had no hot water or electricity for 3 days straight... that's just not right 🚫. On the bright side, everyone is super chill about it now, people are being really supportive of each other and checking on their neighbors πŸ‘. I'm all for sharing stories like this to help others who might be going through something similar πŸ’•.

🌨️ Ugh, this is just so depressing! I mean, I get that winter storms can be intense, but 7 fatalities?! That's just crazy. And all those people left without power... it's like, basic human needs, right? Can't we do better than that?

I'm actually kind of worried about the people affected by this storm. My grandma lives in Texas and I know how harsh winters can be there. It's not fun to have to deal with snow days and frozen pipes. But 26 states?! That's a whole lotta chaos.

You know what's even more crazy? The fact that they're asking for stories from people who've been affected... like, isn't that already happening on social media? I mean, we all saw the videos of people shoveling snow and trying to stay warm. It's not like anyone is hiding it. Can't we just get some support and resources to these people instead of asking them to share their stories? πŸ€”

Man, can't believe what's been happening out there ❄️! Like, I feel so bad for everyone affected by this crazy winter storm. Millions without power, schools and roads shut down... it's just overwhelming. And -20C in Texas?! Brrr! 😱 I'm glad no one was seriously hurt, but I can only imagine how tough it must be to deal with all this.

You know what's been helping me lately? Those tiny little voice notes on my phone πŸ“². Like, when you're stuck inside with no power and can't even watch your favorite show, just talking to yourself or a friend can be a lifesaver. And have you tried making a playlist of winter jams? It's like a mini-vacation from the chaos outside 😎.

Anyway, I hope everyone's staying safe and warm out there! πŸ€—

I was just thinking about my old laptop that died a few weeks ago... I had to upgrade my whole system, now my new one is so fast it's crazy! 🀯 Anyway, back to winter storms, I wonder why they never tell us about the weather forecast for places we're going on vacation beforehand? It seems like everyone gets caught off guard when they land, and it can totally ruin a trip. I had that happen last year, went to Florida expecting sunshine, ended up stuck in my hotel room because of hurricane warnings...

Ugh, this is so crazy β„οΈπŸ˜©! I'm so sorry to hear that so many people lost power and heat πŸ€•πŸ’‘. It's like, I get it, winter storms can be intense, but 26 states? That's a lot πŸ—ΊοΈπŸŒ¨οΈ! Can't we just have one mild winter for once β˜€οΈπŸ˜΄?

I feel bad for the people who were stuck inside without heating or hot water πŸ’¦πŸ˜“. And schools and roads shut down, that's no joke πŸ“šπŸšŒ. I'm sure it's super scary to be out in -20C β„οΈπŸ˜±!

My mom lives in Texas and she's been talking about this storm all day 😬🌨️. She had to cancel her flights because of the snowstorms β˜ƒοΈπŸ˜’. Poor thing, I hope everything gets back to normal soon πŸ•°οΈπŸ’¨.

I'm just sending love and warm vibes β€οΈβ˜•οΈ to everyone in the affected areas. Stay safe, stay warm πŸ”₯πŸ‘!

🌨️ I feel so bad for those affected by this crazy winter storm... it's like, we've got people freezing their butts off in Texas! -20C is like, ridiculously cold, fam πŸ₯Ά. I'm worried about these ppl who are struggling to get power back on and basic necessities. They should def get some help from the gov't or whatever orgs are available. But at the same time, can't we just say that Mother Nature's being harsh? Like, she's a force of nature, you know? She doesn't care about our schedules or plans... πŸŒŽπŸ’¨ I hope everyone stays safe and warm out there! We should all be sending positive vibes to those who lost power and heat.

OMG u guys i cant even imagine living thru dis 😱 like wot would u do if everythin fell apart 4 u?? got fam members or pets stuck at home with no power? πŸ€• how r u keeping ur sanity during dis crisis? have u had 2 improvise meals without basic conveniences? πŸ΄πŸ’‘ idk how ppl handle this kinda thing but i bet u all r braver than we r thinkin πŸ’ͺ

omg this is crazy 🀯 like i was just saying in my last comment about winter storms... we need to invest more in emergency preparedness and infrastructure πŸ’Έ. it's not just about being prepared for the worst, but also about having the resources to recover quickly when the storm passes ❄️.

and can we talk about the roads? how did they get that bad so fast? i was saying in my previous comment about winter driving... always, always check your vehicle before hitting the road, and never underestimate the power of snow and ice β˜ƒοΈ. it's not just about you, but also about the emergency responders trying to reach affected areas.

anyway, back to the storm... i feel so bad for all those people who lost power and heat 🌑️. have they thought about the elderly and vulnerable populations who might be struggling even more? we need to make sure everyone has access to basic necessities during this time ⚠️.

Just saw that footage of ppl struggling w/ no power & frozen pipes πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜“. It's crazy how quickly things can go from bad to worse when extreme weather hits. People should really start prep'ing for these kinds of events, like stocking up on emergency supplies & having a plan in place. Don't wanna be caught off guard like that again πŸ’‘

Ugh, that sounds super rough πŸ€•! I mean, -20C is crazy cold 😱. I hope everyone who lost power has access to warm shelter or something. It's so unfair when a big storm hits and it's hard to get back on track. How are people in Texas dealing with the extreme cold? Are they using generators or something?

And oh no, millions without power, that's just awful πŸ˜”. I hope the electricity is sorted out soon so people can get back to their normal lives. Schools and roads shutting down must be really inconvenient too πŸš—.

I'm sending all my positive vibes to those affected by this storm πŸ’•. Please do share your stories if you feel safe doing so - it might help others who are going through the same thing 😊.

omg i cant even imagine what its like out there right now... -20C is COLD lol! i feel bad for all those ppl who lost power and dont know when they'll get it back. safety first, thats the most important thing. hope everyone's doing okay and managing to stay warm πŸ˜ŠπŸ’‘

πŸŒ¨οΈπŸ’‘ I was watching those news vids on my YouTube channel & it's crazy! ❄️ The US is getting absolutely slammed by that winter storm 🀯. I drew a quick diagram to show the affected areas:

```
Texas
/ \
Massachusetts Maine
\ /
New York
|
|_____
Florida
``` 😲

I can imagine how hard it must be for people, especially those without power or heat 🚫. My friend's aunt lives in Boston & she told me her pipes burst due to the freezing temps β˜•οΈ. She had to spend the night at a shelter with her family & pets 🐾.

It's great that they're reaching out to hear from people like us πŸ‘€. I'm sending all my support to those affected 🀝.
