I'm not sure about this new stand-up special by Sue Perkins
... I mean, she's always been funny and all that, but it feels like just another comedy routine with some awkward bits thrown in
. Like, don't get me wrong, sharing your personal struggles is super relatable and all, but I need a bit more depth to feel genuinely invested
. It's also kinda weird when she jumps between these super funny anecdotes and then suddenly gets all vulnerable and honest about her health issues
... can't help but wonder if it's just marketing hype
. Still, Perkins is definitely talented and her quick wit always cracks me up
. Guess I'll have to give the show a watch and see what I think myself
