The rise and rise of Australia's cinematheques: 'There's just a particular magic'

I mean, isn't it great that people are finally finding their way back to real cinema experiences? 🍿 It's about time we ditched those endless hours of binge-watching our favorite shows on Netflix 📺. I'm so glad the cinematheques are doing their part in preserving old films and introducing new ones to the masses. It's like, who needs the internet when you have 35mm screens and a cozy movie theater? 😂 But seriously, it's lovely that they're bringing people together across generations...just don't expect me to trade in my Letterboxd list for a ticket stub anytime soon 🤣.

These cinemas are like oases in a desert 🌴 they're keeping film alive in a world where streaming is king. It's awesome that they're showcasing old movies that people might have missed out on. I've seen some of those same films at festivals and they were mind-blowing. It just goes to show how much depth there is in cinema beyond what you'd find on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

😊 I think it's awesome that Aussie cinemas are like museums, but instead of ancient relics, they're showcasing old movies! Like, have you seen The Grand Budapest Hotel or Inception in the cinema? It's a whole different experience compared to watching them on Netflix 📺. I mean, what's wrong with 35mm film anyway? It's all about the nostalgia and sharing that special feeling with other people over a cuppa ☕️. And Letterboxd is like, the ultimate platform for film enthusiasts, right? It's so cool to see newbies getting into cinema like that. 🎥
