U.S. sends delegation to Caracas, Trump meets with oil executives

The latest news on the situation in Venezuela, as reported by CBS News:

1. **Senate advances war powers resolution**: The Senate voted 52 to 47 to advance a war powers resolution, which would require the president's approval for any military operation against Venezuela.
2. **Trump says war powers vote threatens national security**: President Trump said that the war powers resolution could harm national security and impede his ability to defend the country.
3. **U.S. Chinook helicopter pilot was wounded in leg during Venezuela attack**: A Chinook helicopter pilot who helped plan the mission to capture Maduro was wounded multiple times in the leg during the operation.
4. **Trump says he's called off "second wave of attacks" on a cooperative Venezuela**: President Trump announced that he has cancelled the previously expected second Wave of Attacks, which looks like it will not be needed.
5. **Trump says war powers would allow U.S. to 'run' Venezuela for years**: The president said that the war powers resolution could force him to commit to running the country for an indefinite period.

These developments come as the situation in Venezuela continues to unfold, with the U.S. military having removed President Maduro from power and his wife in a nighttime raid. The implications of these events are still unclear, but they have significant consequences for the future of the country and its relationship with the United States.

Umm, come on... I don't think Trump's "running" Venezuela is such a big deal 🤦‍♂️. Like, we've had military interventions in other countries before and it didn't exactly work out so well for them. And what's with the whole "threats national security" thing? It sounds like he's just trying to justify his own actions 👀. The fact that a Chinook helicopter pilot got wounded is super concerning tho 🚁💉, but we shouldn't be ignoring the bigger picture here. The Senate advancing this war powers resolution does seem like it could lead to some serious issues though...

I feel bad for Trump lol, like he's being super villainized over this whole Venezuela thing. I mean, can you blame him for wanting to protect national security? The guy's just trying to do what's best for his country. And those war powers resolution ppl are always so quick to pounce on the prez without thinking it through. It's not like he's gonna run Venezuela forever, that's just ridiculous. I think we need to consider all sides of this story before jumping to conclusions. The fact that a U.S. pilot got hurt in the line of duty is super concerning tho 🤕

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole situation in Venezuela 🤯. I mean, what even is happening there? 😱 So Trump's basically saying that if he can't just go in and take over the country like a benevolent dictator (which, btw, sounds kinda suspicious), then his national security will be compromised. 🙄 But on the flip side, it's good to know that no more 'attacks' are planned... or is it just more of the same? 🤔

I'm kinda surprised that more ppl ain't talkin' about how this whole situation is just a mess 🤯. Like, one day Maduro's out, next day he's back in, and now we got Trump sayin' he's gonna "run" Venezuela for years? That sounds like a recipe for disaster to me 😩. And what about all the ppl who actually care about Venezuela's future? They're gettin' left behind in the shuffle. I think it's time for us to take a step back and ask ourselves, what's really goin' on here? 🤔

🤔 just wondering how much more instability is needed before things get serious in venezuela 🌪️ think trump's words are pretty telling... what does it say about our priorities as a nation that we're considering running an entire country like a colony? 🤷‍♂️ not sure what the answer is, but I do know one thing - this situation is far from over 💥
