Video María Corina Machado speaks after giving her Nobel Peace Prize to President Trump

Venezuela's Opposition Leader Returns Trump's Nobel Peace Prize, Expressing Gratitude.

In a surprise move, María Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader who had accepted President Donald Trump's Nobel Peace Prize in a ceremony held just two days ago, returned it to him on Friday. "I'm absolutely grateful," she said, explaining that she regretted not speaking out sooner about her decision to hand over the medal.

Machado stated that she now understands the impact of her actions and acknowledged making a critical mistake by giving Trump the prestigious award. Despite this, she emphasized that her gratitude for Trump is genuine, saying that it's because he was "very gracious" when she handed him the prize.

I don't get why they're returning it now 🤔. What changed? Was Trump being all nice and stuff while holding it or something? 😂 It's not like Machado was forced to take it back... she just decided it wasn't worth keeping now. I'm not buying the "gratitude" story, sounds like an excuse to me 🙄. Why did she accept it in the first place if she didn't want it? And what's with this whole "very gracious" thing? Is that supposed to be some kind of medal-worthiness factor? 🤷‍♀️ It just doesn't add up...

can you believe maria corina machado did that? i mean i get why she'd wanna return it now after giving trump a hard time, but come on... two days ago they were all like yay us getting our prize and now suddenly it's all bad 🤦‍♀️. still gotta respect her for owning up to the whole thing tho 😊. and honestly, if trump was "very gracious" when she handed him the prize, that says a lot about machado herself... either way, glad we get some clarity on this one 💡

ugh i cant even right now 🤯 thinkin bout how much that guy did damage to usa and world politics with that peace prize he didnt even deserve it but machado returns it to trump? what about all the venezuelans who suffered cuz of his policies? i get that she regrets speakin out sooner but dont get her all emotional and sentimental now 🤷‍♀️ 1.6 mil people died in venezuela and trump just sits there collectin Nobel prize 🙅‍♂️ what about empathy? what about thinkin about others before yerself? anyway back to machado and hes all grateful to trump for bein gracious during ceremony 🙄 gotta wonder whats really goin on in her head now

🙄 This is some serious karma for Machado 🤯. She was so caught up in politesse and good manners that she didn't think through the implications of her actions. I mean, Trump? Really? It's not like he's exactly known for his diplomatic skills. And now she's backtracking hard 🔄. You'd think she'd learn to read the room a bit better before making a big move like this. Still, gotta respect her for owning up to it and expressing gratitude... just maybe next time she'll take a step back and consider the bigger picture 🤔

idk what's goin on with maria corina machado right now 🤯 she accepts a nobel peace prize from trump 2 days ago and already returns it lol i mean what changed her mind? did trump do somethin crazy or sumthin? anyway, glad she's speakin out about it now... maybe we can learn from her experience? 🙏

OMG, this is so confusing 🤯... like, I get why Machado wants to return the Nobel Peace Prize, but isn't she kinda backtracking now? 😂 And what's up with accepting it in the first place? I feel like that was a big move and now she's just taking it back? 🤔 I'm all about layout and structure, so let's get this straight - she accepted it for who knows why, and then decided to return it because... reasons? 🙄 Still, gotta respect her for owning up to the mistake. And yeah, Trump being gracious is a thing, but shouldn't that be enough? 💁‍♀️ Anyway, just thinking about how medals can change hands like they're trading cards 🎮 is kinda wild.

I'm not sure what to make of this 😒... I mean, I get why she'd want to return it now, after some people got pretty upset about her taking it in the first place 🤔. But at the same time, I feel bad for Trump - he's already taken a lot of flak over that whole thing 🙄. And I'm kinda curious, what exactly did she say to Trump when she handed him the prize? Was there some hidden meaning behind it or something? 🤷‍♀️

man i feel like my grandma would do something like this...i mean, think about it, machado accepts a nobel peace prize from trump just 2 days ago and now she's returnin' it? that's some crazy talk 🤯 what changed her mind so fast? maybe she realized trump ain't as peaceful as he seems. anyway, i gotta respect her for standin' by her conviction even if it means lookin' like a total hypocrite at first sight 😂
