Tragedy Strikes in Wakefield as Husband Vanishes, Leaving Family and Friends Devastated.
A 45-year-old man, Jason Thomas, has been missing for over three weeks after he disappeared on December 12th, leaving his wife, Kristen Bartoli, heartbroken and desperate for answers. According to Boston 25 News, Thomas was last seen walking home from an unknown destination, leaving behind his phone and wallet.
Thomas's family and friends have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for private investigators and Bartoli's daily needs, describing his disappearance as "every loved one's worst nightmare." The fundraiser has raised nearly $55,000 so far. A message posted on the GoFundMe page reads: "Jason, if you're reading this, please know that we all love you so much... Please let us know you are okay. You are deeply missed, and we are holding onto hope every single day that you will come home."
Thomas's disappearance has left his wife reeling after both of their parents died in November. Bartoli said Thomas was having a difficult time coping with the loss and described it as "really overwhelming." She also stated that the conductor on a train passing through the area shortly after midnight did not see him board.
Police have released information about Thomas, describing him as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing a white and gray puffer jacket, dark pants, black sneakers with white laces, and a black winter hat and gloves. If anyone has any information or potential sightings, they are urged to call the Wakefield Police Department at 781-245-1212.
Thomas's family and friends continue to plead for help tracking him down, calling on anyone who may have seen him to come forward. As the search efforts continue, Thomas's loved ones remain hopeful that he will be found safe and sound, and are holding onto hope every single day that he will return home.
