What To Watch This Weekend: New Shows And Movies To Stream On Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV And More

If you're anything like me, you spend most of your free time binge-watching new TV shows and movies streaming on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV+, and more. This weekend is no exception.

First up, if you're in the mood for something that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, try "Steal," a UK heist thriller starring Sophie Turner, available now on Prime Video. The show follows a team of skilled thieves who plan a daring heist that results in over £4 billion being stolen. It’s a tense and well-executed show with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.

For fans of fantasy fiction, there's "The Pendragon Cycle: Rise Of The Merlin," a new series based on Stephen R. Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle books. Set in the epic world of Arthurian legend, it follows the origin story of Merlin and sets the stage for the legendary hero's rise to power.

If you're looking for something a little different, try "Riot Women," a new British comedy-drama series created by Sally Wainwright that follows a group of middle-aged women who start a rock-and-roll band. It’s a heartwarming show with plenty of laughs and great music.

Another must-watch is the latest season of "Coldwater," starring Andrew Lincoln as a man whose life changes forever after a violent incident at a playground. New episodes air weekly on Showtime/Paramount+.

On HBO Max, fans of the critically acclaimed series can look forward to new episodes of "Primal – Season 3," an animated action-adventure show that takes place in a hellish world where a caveman must survive against undead and other paranormal enemies.

In theaters this weekend is "Dead Man's Wire," starring Bill Skarsgård, Al Pacino, Colman Domingo, Dacre Montgomery, and Cary Elwes. The movie follows the true story of Tony Kirtsis, a man who kidnaps a mortgage broker, Richard Hall, and wires a shotgun to his neck so that if he tries to escape, the gun will go off.

On Netflix this weekend is "Skyscraper Live," a live-streamed free solo climb of Taiwan's Taipei 101 skyscraper. Famous rock-climber Alex Honnold will be scaling the building without ropes, and you can watch it all on Friday night at 5pm PT/8pm ET.

Finally, for those interested in TV shows currently streaming weekly, there are several great options available. On HBO, fans of the "Game of Thrones" prequel series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" will be able to catch new episodes this Sunday. On Prime Video, viewers can watch new episodes of the critically acclaimed medical drama "Fallout – Season 2," which follows two characters as they navigate a post-apocalyptic world.

Overall, there's something for everyone this weekend. Whether you're in the mood for an action-packed heist thriller or a thought-provoking drama, these shows are sure to keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.

I totally forgot that "Game of Thrones" was cancelled years ago 🤯... I mean, it's been ages since we last saw Westeros. And now there's another prequel series? I'm not entirely sold on this one 🤔, but I'll give it a try. Is HBO really milking the GOT franchise for all it's worth at this point? 😏

But anyway, back to new shows... what do you guys think about "Riot Women"? The premise sounds like a lot of fun! A rock-and-roll band of middle-aged women? 🤘🎸 That's a vibe I can get behind. Has anyone else seen the trailer?

I'm loving how streaming platforms are giving us so many options to choose from right now 🤯💥 It's like having a whole library at our fingertips! The variety of genres and themes is really impressive too - from fantasy and action to comedy and drama, there's something for every kind of viewer. And the fact that we can watch all these shows at our own pace, whenever we want, is just amazing 📺💻 What I think is really interesting though, is how these shows are helping to create a sense of community around shared interests. Like, who else is excited about "The Pendragon Cycle: Rise Of The Merlin"? It's so cool to see people bonding over their love for a particular show or genre 😊

It's crazy how entertainment options can be compared to political platforms 🤔, where each show is like a different party trying to win over the audience with their unique message. Take "Steal" for example, it's like a liberal heist – everyone gets a piece of the pie, but who really benefits? Meanwhile, "Riot Women" seems like a socialist utopia, where women come together and create something beautiful out of nothing 🎸.

And what about the economic implications of watching these shows? Do we have to pay for the privilege of being entertained? Should we be taxing streaming services to fund the arts 🤑? The question is, who's really footing the bill here?

Also, considering the global reach of these platforms, it raises questions about cultural homogenization and our shared values. Are we all watching the same shows, or are there different versions out there that cater to specific communities? 🌎

I'm so over all these new release notifications flooding my feeds 🙄. Can't we just have one peace-filled weekend without being bombarded with "must-watch" TV show announcements? 😒 I mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool that there are so many great shows out right now, but a person needs some downtime too, you know? 🤯

Anyway, if anyone actually asks me what to watch this weekend, I'd say give "Riot Women" a shot. The idea of a group of middle-aged women starting a rock-and-roll band is kinda genius 😊. And hey, if you're looking for something more intense, "Steal" on Prime Video looks pretty compelling 🤔.

OMG, I'm so done with binge-watching TV shows all the time 🤯💻! Don't get me wrong, it's super fun to get lost in a good story or learn something new, but sometimes I wish I had more free time to focus on myself and my own wellness 🧘‍♀️🌱. Like, have you ever tried doing a digital detox for just one day? It's actually really refreshing! 😌

I'm so stoked that Netflix is live streaming Alex Honnold's free solo climb of Taipei 101 skyscraper 🤯🏔️! I mean, can you imagine watching him scale a building without any ropes? It gives me major adrenaline rush just thinking about it 😅. And honestly, I think it's awesome that they're making this event available for free streaming - talk about inclusivity! 🌟

But seriously, with all these new shows and movies coming out, I'm starting to feel like my watchlist is never gonna end 📺😂. From the UK heist thriller "Steal" to the fantasy series "The Pendragon Cycle: Rise Of The Merlin", there's something for every type of viewer. And can we talk about how excited I am for the new season of "Primal – Season 3" on HBO Max? 🐺💥

I'm also loving the fact that they're giving us more content from popular shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Fallout". There's nothing quite like getting lost in a good story, especially when it's well-produced and has great characters 😊.

Okay, I think I've binged enough for one weekend... but seriously though, can someone please make more time for all these amazing shows? My schedule is basically non-existent 🤪.

I'm totally not feeling excited about all these new shows out right now 🤔 I mean, how original is it that there's another UK heist thriller? And don't even get me started on live solo climbs of skyscrapers... what's next, watching paint dry for entertainment value? 😴 Give me a break.

Just watched the trailer for "Steal" and I'm so down to binge-watch it with my squad 🤩 Prime Video just dropped some new goodies and I need more of those fantasy stories like "Riot Women", who else is loving Sally Wainwright's writing style? 💖 On a different note, have you seen the live solo climb on Netflix, "Skyscraper Live"? That's some crazy stuff 😲

I'm so excited for all these new shows and movies coming out 🤩! I've been binge-watching too much lately and my friends are starting to get worried about me 😂. But honestly, it's just so hard to resist a good story, especially when it's got twists and turns that keep you guessing. "Steal" sounds like a total page-turner - I'm definitely adding it to my watchlist 📺!

man i'm so done with originality in tv shows these days its like every show is trying to be some kinda fantasy epic just now we got "The Pendragon Cycle: Rise Of The Merlin" and it's literally just another take on the arthurian legend. cant even say im intrigued anymore

OMG, I'm literally soooo down for binge-watching all of these shows 🤯💥! But can we talk about how ridiculous it is that they're having a live solo climb on Netflix? 🙄 Like, what's next?! A live rock concert on YouTube?! 😂 Alex Honnold is literally insane and I'm here for it 🎸👏. And omg "Riot Women" sounds soooo cute! 💖 I need more shows like that in my life, you know? 🤗 Something to make me laugh and feel good after a long week 😌. But seriously though, the cast of "Dead Man's Wire" is like whoa... Al Pacino is just so intimidating 😨. And I love how they're all promoting some epic movies and shows this weekend 💥. Can't wait to see what everyone's watching 📺👀!

I gotta say, I'm loving the "Steal" show on Prime Video 📺 - Sophie Turner's got some serious acting chops. But honestly, who thought it was a good idea to base a heist thriller on £4 billion? That's like, insane 💸. And what's up with all these shows and movies coming out this weekend? Can't we just binge-watch one thing for once?! 🙄

I'm really hyped about this new season of "Coldwater" 🤯! Andrew Lincoln is such a talented actor and I love how the show keeps me guessing with its twists and turns. But what's up with all these live-streaming events on Netflix? Skyscraper Live sounds insane! Watching Alex Honnold climb Taipei 101 without ropes must be super nerve-wracking 😲. Maybe someone can explain to me why there are so many new shows coming out every weekend? It feels like the streaming services just keep piling them up and I'm not sure if my Netflix password is strong enough to handle all this 🤣!

omg I am literally so down for "Steal" on Prime Video! Sophie Turner is already killing it in The Witcher and I'm curious to see her in this new show 🤩👀 have you watched any of these shows before? what's the most thrilling part about them for you 🎥

The proliferation of streaming services has undoubtedly revolutionized the way we consume entertainment content 📺. With so many platforms vying for our attention, it's increasingly challenging to discern which shows merit a watch 👀. However, I believe that the diversity of offerings presented here is a testament to the creativity and innovation of writers and producers in this industry 🎨.

I'm particularly intrigued by the "Riot Women" series, which seems to strike a fascinating balance between humor and heartwarming character development 😊. The juxtaposition of music and comedy with more serious themes like middle age crises is a compelling one, and I'd love to see how the show explores its premise.

The rise of streaming services has also given us unparalleled access to niche content that might have otherwise gone unnoticed 🌟. As someone who values diversity in media representation, I'm excited to explore shows that cater to various interests and demographics 🌈.

Ultimately, the abundance of options on offer this weekend is a welcome respite from the usual algorithm-driven recommendations 🤖. It's refreshing to see human curation at play, allowing viewers to discover new favorites through deliberate choices rather than chance encounters 👍.

I gotta disagree with all these new releases 🤔. I mean, have you seen "The Last Of Us" series yet? It's like 10 times better than that new heist thriller thingy 💯. And don't even get me started on Netflix's latest true-crime documentary - it's so much more gripping than that live solo climb nonsense 🤷‍♂️. And what's with all the hype around "Dead Man's Wire"? I mean, Al Pacino in a movie about kidnapping? Please, give me something with Denzel Washington any day 👊. Anyway, if you're looking for some quality shows, check out "The Last Of Us" and that documentary - they're where it's at 📺

omg i'm so down for a new season of "Coldwater" 🤯 i've been hooked from the first episode and andrew lincoln is just so good in it, can't wait to see what happens next! 📺 also, who else is excited for Alex Honnold's free solo climb on Netflix? 🏔️ that's like, insane!!! 😲

I'm not sold on all these new streaming shows... "Steal" sounds okay, I guess, but have we really seen it all before in every heist movie? And another UK series about Arthurian legend? It's just so overdone. Not to mention the fact that a caveman living in a hellish world is basically just a fancy version of The Hunger Games... and don't even get me started on "Riot Women", I mean, isn't this just rehashing the same old rock band cliches?

And what's with all these live-streamed events? "Skyscraper Live" sounds like a recipe for disaster. What if Alex Honnold fails and kills himself live on TV?! The thought alone gives me anxiety

OMG I just watched Steal over the weekend 🤯 it was SO good!!! I loved how tense and suspenseful it was! Sophie Turner is amazing as the lead character, I couldn't take my eyes off her 😍 I'm still thinking about the twist at the end. Has anyone else seen it? 🎬
