What you should know about 2025 Chicago Bears if you're a new fan

As a new fan of the Chicago Bears, it's essential to get familiar with the current team and its history. The Bears finished the regular season with an impressive 11-6 record, winning their division for the first time since 2018. This marked a significant turnaround from last year's 5-12 season, where they ended up in last place.

One of the most notable aspects of the Bears' success this season was their ability to come back from behind in games with late heroics. Caleb Williams, the team's star quarterback and first overall pick of the 2024 draft, led these comeback wins. In his second season in the NFL, Williams has become the leader of the team, and his relationship with new head coach Ben Johnson is a key factor in their success.

The rivalry between the Bears and Packers is one of the oldest in the NFL, with the Packers having dominated this century, but the Bears' recent win over them was dramatic. The game went into overtime, where Williams threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore for the win. This marked one of only 29 passes out of 370,000 thrown since 2006 that received a "plus-two" grade from Pro Football Focus.

The Bears have made significant strides under Johnson's leadership, with their offense averaging 26.6 points per game, which ranks them tenth in the NFL. Last season, without Johnson, they averaged just 18.2 points, making this turnaround all the more impressive.

While fans are excited about the team's recent success, it's essential to note that they face a tough path to winning the Super Bowl. The Bears will need to win three playoff games, starting with their Wild Card Round game against the Packers on January 10th. From there, they'll face the Divisional Round and Conference Championship games before potentially meeting the AFC champion in the Super Bowl on February 8th.

The team's longest-tenured players include tight end Cole Kmet and kicker Cairo Santos, who joined the Bears in 2020. The "Good, Better, Best" chant has become a staple of Johnson's locker room routine, reminding his players to always strive for excellence.

In Chicago, people often refer to the team as "Da Bears," which is a unique aspect of local culture. The city is also home to Soldier Field, but the old stadium is in need of renovation, and the team has been exploring options for a new stadium.

For those who are curious about past generations of Bears teams, it's worth noting that the 1985 Super Bowl-winning team remains one of the most beloved in Chicago sports history. Their iconic "Super Bowl Shuffle" music video is still widely popular today.

In conclusion, as a new fan of the Chicago Bears, there's plenty to be excited about with this current roster and coaching staff. With Caleb Williams leading the charge, Ben Johnson turning around the offense, and the team's resilience in close games, it's clear that this team has what it takes to make a deep playoff run.

Man I'm loving this new energy around the Bears 🤩🏈! They've been on a whole different level this season, like they're actually playing for something besides last place 😂. Caleb Williams is a total game changer, he's got that clutch gene and it's so awesome to see him lead his team to comebacks 💪. The rivalry with the Packers is always intense, but I'm hyped to see what happens next 👊. Coach Johnson is doing an amazing job turning around this offense, they're looking like a completely different team 🤯. Can't wait to see if they can take it all the way and win that Super Bowl! ⚔️

I'm not sold on this whole NFL resurgence thing 🤔. People say Caleb Williams is the next big thing, but all I see is someone who's got a bunch of lucky plays and a coach with a gimmicky motivational routine 🙄. And don't even get me started on Pro Football Focus giving that one game a "plus-two" grade 😂... like it's that hard to throw a touchdown in overtime? The Bears' success is impressive, I'll give them that, but I'm still waiting to see how they stack up against the rest of the league. One playoff win doesn't make 'em a dynasty 🚫... yet.

I think the Bears are definitely on the rise 🤔. It's awesome to see them bounce back from last season so strong, especially with Caleb Williams at the helm 💪. He's really stepping up as a leader and making big plays when it counts. The "Good, Better, Best" chant is infectious - I can already imagine Johnson's team huddling around, getting pumped up 🏈.

I also love how passionate Bears fans are about their team. From "Da Bears" to the iconic Super Bowl Shuffle, there's a rich history and culture surrounding this franchise. And let's be real, Soldier Field needs an upgrade ASAP 💥. The new stadium would bring even more excitement to game days and show the world what Chicago has to offer 🌆.

It'll be tough for them to take down the Packers in the playoffs, but I've got faith in Williams and company 👊. Maybe it's time for a Bears resurgence? ⭐
