Xabi Alonso: Real Madrid head coach leaves club and is replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa

Real Madrid has parted ways with head coach Xabi Alonso after just seven months in charge, with former B team manager Alvaro Arbeloa taking over the reins. The club's poor performance in recent games, including a disappointing defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, is believed to have contributed to Alonso's departure.

Alonso was hired by Real Madrid in the summer as Carlo Ancelotti's replacement, but his tenure at the club has been marred by controversy and criticism from fans. The 42-year-old had previously worked as Arbeloa's assistant coach with Real's B team before being promoted to head of the senior squad.

Arbeloa, who has been the head coach of Real Madrid Castilla since the start of this season, is seen as an interim appointment by many pundits. He played for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team alongside Alonso during his playing career, but it remains to be seen whether he can replicate the former Liverpool midfielder's success.

Former Real president Ramon Calderon has expressed surprise at Alonso's departure, citing poor planning as a major factor in the club's struggles this season. "We had Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in midfield," Calderon said. "Perhaps the best midfield in the world. Now, those players are not with us anymore and maybe we should've found someone to be in that midfield."

Sky Sports analysts believe that Alonso could potentially find success at a Premier League club, such as Liverpool or Arsenal, given his experience and track record of achievement. However, Arbeloa's appointment may have raised questions about the future of the Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, who has been under pressure to deliver trophies in recent years.

The departure of Alonso marks another high-profile exit for Real Madrid this season, following the departures of several top players and coaches. The club's poor performance on the pitch has sparked debate among fans and pundits about whether the team is headed in the right direction.

I'm so done with Xabi Alonso's tenure at Real Madrid lol ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, 7 months is a pretty short time to turn things around, especially considering how badly they've struggled lately ๐Ÿšฎ. And let's be real, Alvaro Arbeloa is only taking over because the club can't seem to make up their mind ๐Ÿค”. It's like, are they serious about making a change or just going through the motions?

And what's with all the drama surrounding Alonso's departure? Poor planning, lack of talent... it's not like this is the first time Real Madrid has had issues ๐Ÿ™„. The thing that really bothers me is how quickly everyone wants to write off Alonso and start calling out Klopp at Liverpool. Come on guys, let's give each other some space ๐Ÿ‘Š.

๐Ÿ˜ what's going on at Real Madrid? they seem to be changing head coaches left and right... Alonso got axed after just 7 months ๐Ÿคฏ, that's like, super quick for a new coach. I mean, I get it, the team hasn't been doing great lately ๐Ÿ˜”, but can't they find someone more stable? Arbeloa seems like an okay guy, played with Alonso before and all, but coaching Real Madrid is no joke ๐Ÿ†. They're basically throwing money at problems instead of solving them ๐Ÿ’ธ. what's next for the team? will they stick with Arbeloa or make another change? ๐Ÿค”

I'm literally shaking my head over Xabi Alonso ๐Ÿ˜‚ he was so overrated I mean don't get me wrong the guy was a legend on the pitch but as a manager? yeah no thanks ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ his playing days were always more exciting than his coaching stint at Real Madrid lol like what was he even thinking?! ๐Ÿค” I remember when I was at uni and we played one of his teams and they got thrashed ๐Ÿ˜‚. Anyway back to Alvaro Arbeloa, I think he's a decent coach but let's be real he's not going to fix everything for Real Madrid overnight ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿค” idk what's gonna happen with Arbeloa, seems like a decent coach, but Real Madrid's issues run too deep ๐Ÿ“‰ they need to rebuild their squad, not just change managers ๐Ÿ‘Š Klopp's future's still up in the air, hope he stays ๐Ÿ”’ Alonso had his moments, but poor planning & player departures are a big problem ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I think this change is actually a good thing! I mean, Alonso had some tough games lately and maybe he just needed a fresh start ๐Ÿค”. Arbeloa was doing a great job with Castilla so I'm sure he'll bring that same energy to the main team. And hey, who knows, maybe this move will give Real Madrid the chance to find their identity and play like they used to ๐ŸŽ‰! It's not like they're losing all their top players or anything... although that is a bit of a concern ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. But Arbeloa has some big shoes to fill, I'm excited to see what he can do! โšฝ๏ธ

OMG, I'm so sad to see Xabi Alonso go ๐Ÿค•... he was like a breath of fresh air for Real Madrid, you know? But at the same time, I get it, they need someone who can turn things around ASAP ๐Ÿ’ช. Alvaro Arbeloa's not my fave choice, but let's give him a chance, right? ๐Ÿ˜… And what's with all this talk about him leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid? Like, that's never gonna happen ๐Ÿ™„... Jurgen Klopp would have to sell his soul or something! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm shocked, like when my dad told me that the original Star Wars was released in '77 ๐Ÿš€... Real Madrid is having a major crisis, you know? They just let go of Alonso after 7 months and now it's Arbeloa at the helm. I mean, I remember when Zinedine Zidane used to play for them, what a legend! ๐Ÿ™Œ Now they're struggling like a bad episode of "MythBusters" ๐Ÿ”ง. It's all about the midfield, man... Toni Kroos and Luka Modric were like the dynamic duo back in the day ๐Ÿค. I'm curious to see how Arbeloa will fill those shoes. Maybe he can bring some magic from his time with Real Castilla? ๐Ÿ’ซ Who knows, maybe they'll get it right eventually, but for now, it's just...meh ๐Ÿ˜

ugh i cant believe whats happening at real madrid lol they had xabi alonso and it just didnt work out maybe arbeloa can bring some stability but i still think its weird that they got rid of him after 7 months ๐Ÿค”. i mean who gets replaced after that short a time? i feel bad for alonso too, he seemed like a great coach but i guess the fans werent having it ๐Ÿ˜. and now theres all this speculation about jurgen klopp at liverpool lol what's gonna happen there? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I was watching that cute video of a sloth taking a nap in a tree the other day ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ด, and it made me think, have you ever noticed how some people can just zone out like that? Like, they're not even thinking about what's going on around them. I try to do that when I'm watching TV, but then I always get distracted by something ๐Ÿ˜‚. Anyway, back to Real Madrid... I mean, I don't really follow the team, but it seems like they have some big issues to fix if they want to come back strong next season. Maybe they should just take a page out of that sloth's book and learn to relax?

๐Ÿค” come on, 7 months is not that long to turn it around for a team like real madrid... they had this chance with xabi alonso but i guess the pressure got too much ๐Ÿคฏ Alonso wasnt even able to beat barcelona at their home ground ๐Ÿ  what can he do now? maybe arbeloa is gonna be better, we will see ๐Ÿ˜ one thing is for sure, real madrid needs to get its act together if they wanna win something this season ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿค” I think Alonso was a decent coach, but he just didn't have enough time to turn things around at Real Madrid. Seven months feels like an eternity for any coach, especially one trying to rebuild a struggling squad. I mean, you can't expect him to change the team's dynamics overnight, right? The players did leave, and it seems like that had a big impact on the team's performance. Maybe he'll get another shot at it in the future? ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿค” I'm not surprised that Alonso got the boot after just seven months, to be honest... ๐Ÿ˜ Real Madrid is a huge club with high expectations, and it's hard for any coach to live up to that. But, at the same time, I do think Arbeloa was an unexpected choice ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, he's been doing well with Castilla, but come on... ๐Ÿ˜… it's not exactly a promotion to the top tier of Spanish football when you're stepping in for the mighty Alonso! ๐Ÿ™ƒ Still, fingers crossed that Arbeloa can bring some stability and success back to the team... โšฝ๏ธ
