US Urges Ukraine and Russia to Reach Peace Deal by June Deadline

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that the US has set a new June deadline for a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, marking yet another attempt to bring an end to the ongoing conflict. The proposal comes as part of a push by the Trump administration to "get everything done" before the summer.

Zelenskyy stated that both sides have been formally invited to further talks next week in Miami, hosted by the US, with Zelenskyy confirming Ukraine's participation. However, he warned that failure to meet this deadline could result in increased pressure from Washington on both parties to reach a deal.

This new deadline follows a string of failed attempts at peace negotiations, including a meeting last month in Abu Dhabi where talks broke down without a breakthrough. Despite the lack of progress, Zelenskyy acknowledged that the trilateral negotiations had been "genuinely constructive".

Ugh, another fake-out peace talk . Like we haven't seen this a million times before. Can't these people make up their minds? First, it's Abu Dhabi, then Miami... I'm starting to think they're just playing a game of "let's make promises and break them" . And what's with the midterm elections comment? Did Zelenskyy really have to spill the beans like that? I'm a bit worried about the new deadline... it feels like they're putting too much pressure on both sides I think what's really needed here is for everyone to take a deep breath and have some honest conversations. We can't just rush into another peace deal without making sure it's gonna work this time The fact that talks broke down in Abu Dhabi already once doesn't give me much hope Maybe the US should try having these talks in a more neutral place, or even letting Ukraine and Russia have some control over their own negotiating table? It feels like they're being a bit too heavy-handed with all this pressure...

OMG, I'm literally keeping my fingers crossed that they can finally make a deal ! It's been so long since this conflict started and it's taking such a toll on everyone involved . I hope Zelenskyy is right when he says the talks in Miami are "genuinely constructive" . And honestly, I'm starting to think that the US having something to do with the midterm elections isn't just a rumor ... let's keep our hopes up and maybe, just maybe, we'll see some real progress by June !

ugh i dont get why cant we just talk about this already? like what even is the point of these deadlines and all that jazz? its like, zelenskyy says theyve been invited to miami for talks next week but honestly who knows what will happen then? can we pls just chill and see if both sides can find some common ground or watever?

OMG , I'm literally freaking out over here!!! , like, I was already worried about Ukraine and Russia, but now there's a new deadline?!?! June 30th can't come soon enough!!! , Zelenskyy is totally right, though - if the US wants this deal to happen, they need to bring their A-game . And btw, I'm so done with these failed peace talks , like, when are we gonna see some real progress?!?! , and omg, midterm elections?!?! , of course, that's why Trump is behind this - he knows it'll boost his chances or whatever .
