Stocks End Choppy Day Little Changed The stock market closed out a volatile trading session yesterday evening with little net change despite a series of ups and downs throughout the day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell 23 points to 34,514, while the S&P 500 declined by 12 points to reach 4,174.
In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite managed to eke out a slight gain of 17 points to close at 14,261.
