omg this is soooo messed up like what even is going on here?! some dude just tries to leave a consulate and everyone freaks out and starts shooting? alex pretti was just an ICU nurse trying to do his job and get back home, no need for all that drama . can't believe trump sent tom homan to cover up this mess . we need some real answers on why these agents were acting like total lunatics . meanwhile, let's talk about the 5-year-old boy who was detained last week... poor kid needs his parents . gotta stay vigilant for all this immigration drama

this is so sad what happened to alex pretti? i mean, you're just trying to help people and they end up killing you it's just not right.

i'm also worried about the cops who did this... like, what if you did something stupid in your life and someone shot you? would that be fair? it doesn't feel like it to me.

i'm not sure what's going on with the administration's response... like, tom homan is trying to calm things down but some people are still blaming pretti for this? no one should have to die because of something they did. that's just not right.

and another thing, why do immigration officers need to be armed in the first place? shouldn't they just be able to talk to people and figure things out?

I don’t usually comment but it’s just really sad what happened to Alex Pretti . As an ICU nurse I can only imagine how scary that must’ve been for him. And the fact that he was taken into custody without his consent is just crazy . I don’t think 3 shots are necessary to subdue someone, especially not a non-threatening individual. I hope there’s gonna be some serious changes made within CBP and ICE so this doesn’t happen again . It’s like they say, what happens in the US has an impact on other countries too . Ecuador’s got every right to speak out against this and I don’t blame them at all . We need more transparency and accountability, period .

OMG, like I'm still trying to process what happened to Alex Pretti He was just a nurse trying to do his job and now he's gone The fact that Border Patrol agents yelled "He's got a gun!" multiple times before shooting him is so concerning... didn't they try to de-escalate the situation at all?!? I'm literally shaking with anger right now We need to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else, especially not someone who's just trying to help people The fact that some administration officials are blaming Pretti for his own death is just disgusting... like, no way José! We need to demand justice and accountability for this tragic event
