2 people arrested, charged for murder of man found dead in motel room on East Freeway, HCSO says

Two men have been arrested and charged with murder after a body was discovered in a motel room on East Freeway in Harris County, Texas. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies were serving a parole warrant at the motel when they encountered a broken window in an adjacent room. Upon investigation, they found 33-year-old Jorge Gonzalez dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Gonzalez was pronounced deceased by EMS upon arrival at the scene. The authorities have confirmed that there is no connection between the suspect who was initially detained and the victim who was shot to death.

41-year-old Joseph Plattenburg and 27-year-old Jordyn Wells have been taken into custody and charged with Gonzalez's murder, according to officials. It is alleged that the suspects fired at the victim due to claims that he owed them money.

Both suspects were booked in the Harris County Jail, pending further investigation into the circumstances surrounding Gonzalez's fatal shooting. The motive behind the murder remains under investigation by local authorities.

Ugh, this just makes me sad 🤕 Like what happened to Jorge? One minute you're living your life, the next... 😩 These two dudes just cold as ice, shooting him like he owed them money 🤑 Can't believe they'd do that over something so trivial. And now these poor guys are behind bars, waiting for justice to be served 💔 But still, my mind's racing with "what ifs" – what if there was a way to resolve the situation without guns? What if Jorge had spoken up sooner about his debt issues? 🤔 It just feels like such a waste of life... 😔

🤯 I just heard about this crazy news and I'm still trying to process it. I mean, two guys just walked into a motel room, shot someone because they said he owed them money... it's just so senseless. 🚫💸 How can people be that reckless and violent over something as stupid as debt? 😤 And what really gets me is that the police found out about the murder by accident while serving a parole warrant. Like, how does that even happen? 🤷‍♂️ It's just one of those things that makes you wonder what's going on in people's heads these days...

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, it’s wild how a broken window led to this whole thing 🤯. Like, I get that people do owe money and stuff, but gunfights aren't exactly a solution, you know? It's crazy that two guys were taken down for something that's just so... petty 😐. And what's with the parole warrant though? Wasn’t that meant to keep them safe from committing more crimes? 🤔 The fact that they still managed to pull off this mess is just a reminder of how messed up our system can be 🚔

🚨😱 just heard about this crazy story from my friends still trying to wrap my head around it like two guys just randomly went to kill some dude in a motel room over money owed yeah right 🤦‍♂️ can you believe they even shot him multiple times and no one was gonna lift a finger 😒 the victims family must be going thru hell 💔

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one... 🤯 Two guys just went from being regular dudes to being arrested for murder over some debt 😱. It's crazy how quickly things can escalate into violence. I mean, we've all been in tough spots before, but sometimes you think about the bigger picture and how these small disputes can lead to huge consequences 🌪️.

It's interesting that the authorities are saying there's no connection between the suspects and the victim, but at the same time, they're not releasing any info on the motive behind this whole thing 🤐. It's like, what really happened in those motel rooms? Did these guys have a history or was it just one of those situations where things got out of hand? 💔 Either way, my thoughts are with Jorge Gonzalez and his loved ones 👊.

this is so crazy how 2 guys can just go and kill some1 over some debt its like they think money is worth a human life 🤯💀 what kinda people do that to someone who didnt even know the guy was owing them money?? i mean, cant we all just get along and help each other out instead of resorting to violence?

Omg can you believe this? Two people get charged with murder over some cash they claim is owed to them? Like what even is that? It's just crazy how things escalate like that 🤯. I feel so bad for Jorge, he didn't deserve to die like that. And the fact that these guys thought it was okay to just go after him because of a debt? No respect, you know? 💔

OMG u no how this is so sad 🤕 like what even led to this?? two guys just shoot up some guy cuz he owed them money its crazy 🤯 i was thinkin bout my friends who are still doin time for a parole violation and its just not fair to get locked up again cuz of debt 😩 anyways the cops gotta figure out wut really went down 🕵️‍♂️

man... thinkin' 'bout this case is like tryin' to piece together a puzzle with all these missing pieces... what leads two guys to commit such a heinous act? seems like just another tragic story of greed & poor decision makin' 💔, but then u start wonderin' about the circumstances leadin' up to it... was there more 2 this than meets the eye? 🤯 & what's with this "owin" money thang? sounds like we're losin' sight of human connection in these types of situations 🌎
