OMG, can we talk about the Grammys ceremony?
It was all glamour and excitement, but what's with the lack of behind-the-scenes moments on TV?!
I mean, Jelly Roll's acceptance speech was SO emotional, he broke down in tears talking about his parents' sacrifices and how they're an example of country music's roots.
But why didn't we see more of that?
And can we talk about the history of country music being glossed over?!
Jelly Roll mentioned the African diaspora's influence, but it feels like we're still learning about this stuff.
I'd love to see more artists exploring their heritage and roots in their performances.
Also, LOL at Lola Young talking about being a "messy human being"
But seriously, her song "Messy" is so relatable!
And can we give it up for the K-Pop sensation team representing Korean culture?
That's what the Grammys are all about!
But you know what really got me thinking? SZA's speech about artists speaking out on social issues.
It feels like that's exactly what we need right now โ a sense of hope and unity.
Can we make some noise for that?!
