4 teen suspects who escaped Sugar Land jail were denied bond, DA's office says

Four teenagers behind bars after a violent jail break in Sugar Land, Texas were denied bond on Sunday, according to the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office. The suspects, aged between 17 and 19 years old, are accused of being involved in an aggravated robbery at a CVS store earlier that morning, where they allegedly assaulted two employees and made off with cash.

However, just hours later, the suspects managed to escape from the jail when one was checked on by a jailer and then assaulted. The inmate who escaped then allegedly released the other prisoners, allowing them all to flee. Police responded quickly to search for the inmates, and about an hour and a half later, they were found near a church in First Colony.

The suspects are now facing additional charges of escape, causing severe bodily injury, and aggravated assault on a public servant. They will be held without bail due to the severity of their charges.

Police Chief Pete Lara said that this incident is under review, adding that procedures would be looked into following such incidents. However, it's unclear what changes may be implemented at the jail in terms of protocols for checking inmates in their cells.

๐Ÿคฏ I mean, have you guys ever wondered how something like this can happen in a supposed 'safe' environment like a jail? ๐Ÿš” I know we're talking about young people who've made some questionable choices, but still... 4 teens behind bars for armed robbery and they manage to escape by overpowering one of the staff members? That's just not right ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And now they're facing even more charges because they let their fellow inmates out too... it's like they were playing a game of jailbreak GTA or something ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

And can we talk about the lack of accountability here? I mean, the police chief is saying that procedures are going to be looked into, but how many times do you need to have an incident like this before anything changes? It's just frustrating when you think about all the resources being wasted on investigating and retrying the same mistakes ๐Ÿค”.

๐Ÿค• man... just thinking about those 4 teenagers breaking out of jail and hurting others is giving me the chills ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ. I don't know what's going on with our justice system, but it seems like we need to take a closer look at how jails are being run. I mean, it's crazy that they were able to escape just by having one guy get checked on by a jailer and then causing chaos ๐Ÿคฏ. And now they're facing even more charges, which is good, but what about the people who are getting hurt in these situations? We need to make sure we're doing everything we can to keep our communities safe ๐Ÿ’•.

It's also concerning that police chief Pete Lara said procedures would be looked into, but it's unclear what changes will come out of it ๐Ÿค”. I wish they could provide more transparency on how these incidents happen and what steps are being taken to prevent them in the future ๐Ÿ“. We need to prioritize our public safety and make sure that justice is served ๐Ÿ’ฏ.

I mean, can you believe this? Four teens, all behind bars for a violent robbery, but then they break out and cause even more chaos ๐Ÿคฏ. I'm not surprised that they got away with it at first, I know how easy it is to get bored or lose focus in those places. But what really blows my mind is that one of them was able to escape while another inmate was being checked on by a jailer! That's just crazy talk ๐Ÿ˜ฒ.

And now they're all facing even more charges and are going to be held without bail... I guess it's hard to get a second chance when you've already messed up so badly ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. As for the police, yeah, procedures need to be looked into for sure. I don't know what kind of training they're getting, but if someone can escape from jail like that, something is seriously amiss ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

It's just sad that it had to come down like this... a violent robbery and then a violent break-out ๐Ÿค•. Can we just hope that justice gets served here?

This is crazy!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ They're lucky to be alive and should never have been released back on the streets ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, who gets out and then goes around releasing everyone else? It's just insane ๐Ÿ’ฅ. The police did a great job finding them and getting them under control again, but it's clear that something went wrong here ๐Ÿค”. Maybe they should've had more guards on watch at all times or checked the cell before opening it up ๐Ÿ˜•. This is definitely a wake-up call for the jail system in Texas ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

๐Ÿค• This is just crazy! Like, how did 4 teens manage to escape from a busy jail? ๐Ÿš” I mean, I know we can't always trust that our systems are perfect, but this is just wild. And the part where they allegedly assaulted a jailer and then one of them escapes... ๐Ÿคฏ That's just wrong. ๐Ÿ’” I'm worried about the other prisoners who were released during that chaos - did they get hurt or are they okay? ๐Ÿค• Also, what's going on with the police department's review process? Will this incident lead to some changes in how they do their job? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿคฏ Can you believe what just went down in Sugar Land, Texas? Those 4 teens managed to bust outta jail and wreak havoc on a CVS store before making a break for it themselves ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ฅ I mean, I know they were behind bars for something serious, but using their freedom to escape and harm others is just crazy ๐Ÿคฏ. And the fact that one of them even assaulted a jailer while being checked on? That's just terrifying ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

I'm all about second chances, but this is just ridiculous. We need to figure out how they were able to pull off something like this without anyone noticing ๐Ÿค”. And yeah, police are gonna review their protocols and stuff, but what about the tech side of things? Are those cell doors equipped with some kinda security system that could've stopped them from escaping? ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’ป We need to get to the bottom of this and make sure our prisons are secure! ๐Ÿ’ช

OMG, just got out of a news coma ๐Ÿคฏ! This jail break situation in Sugar Land is SO wild ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. I mean, four teens taking on the system and getting away with it for a hot sec โฑ๏ธ? Not cool, guys ๐Ÿ˜’. And then to take out their frustrations on jail staff and cops...๐Ÿ˜ . It's just so sad that these kids are stuck in this cycle ๐Ÿ”„. The fact that one of them got released from his cell and took out the others is just mind-blowing ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I'm all for reviewing protocols at the jail to prevent something like this from happening again ๐Ÿ“. More security checks, maybe? ๐Ÿšจ. Can't we teach these teens a better way to deal with stress...or lack thereof ๐Ÿ˜”?

I'm literally shaking my head over this one ๐Ÿคฏ... Like, how do you even escape from a jail?! And not just that, but they basically take out the entire staff on purpose? I mean, what's wrong with these kids?! They're gonna face life in prison for this, and it's no wonder. But seriously, what kind of protocols were in place at that jail to prevent something like this from happening in the first place? It's just not right... The thought of those two employees being assaulted is still giving me chills ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And now they're facing even more charges on top of their original ones? This is just a whole mess...

I think the punishment isn't too harsh considering they already managed to escape from jail once. I mean, if you're gonna do something crazy like that, shouldn't you face even more severe consequences? ๐Ÿค” But at the same time, it's not like they were just petty thieves - they allegedly assaulted two employees and caused a violent robbery. I guess my point is that their actions are pretty serious and deserving of a longer stay behind bars. But let's be real, if the jail can't even keep track of who's in which cell... ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ก it might not just be about punishing them, but also figuring out how to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

๐Ÿ˜ฑ I mean, can you believe what happened? Four teens just walked outta a jail cell and took down two employees?! That's wild! ๐Ÿคฏ And then they had the nerve to escape from police and cause more harm... it's like, what's wrong with these kids?! ๐Ÿ˜ก Anyway, I'm all for improving those jail protocols so this never happens again. Like, how can you not keep track of who's in their cell? It's just common sense! ๐Ÿ™„ And I gotta say, the police chief is right to review things and make changes... we need safer jails, period! ๐Ÿ’ช

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT JAIL! THESE KIDS MUST BE OUT OF THEIR MINDS! ESCAPING FROM PRISON AND THEN RELEASING OTHER GUYS? THAT'S LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A MOVIE, BUT NOT ONE I WANT TO WATCH!

I FEEL BAD FOR THE POLICE OFFICER WHO GOT ASSAULTED BY THE INMATE WHILE CHECKING ON THEM. THAT'S LIKE, TOTALLY UNFAIR! AND NOW THEY'RE FACING ADDITIONAL CHARGES? IT'S JUST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE.

THE QUESTION IS, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! WAS THERE A SECURITY BREACH OR SOMEONE JUST GOT LAZY ON THE JOB? WE NEED TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS AND MAKE SURE SOMETHING LIKE THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN! ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ฅ

Man I'm still shaking my head about this crazy jail break in Sugar Land ๐Ÿคฏ. Four teens managed to escape and then come back to release the others? That's some wild stuff! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ It's just unbelievable that they were able to pull off something like that, especially when you think about how close they got to getting caught. The fact that one of them was assaulted by a jailer while being checked on makes it even more terrifying ๐Ÿšจ.

It's crazy to think that these guys are going to be held without bail because of the severity of their charges ๐Ÿค‘. You've gotta wonder what kind of security protocols were in place at the time, and how they're going to prevent something like this from happening again ๐Ÿ’ก. The police chief is already saying that procedures will be looked into, which is good, but I hope it goes beyond just tweaking some rules โ€“ we need real changes made to ensure this doesn't happen again ๐Ÿคž

What a joke! ๐Ÿคฃ four teenagers think they can just break outta jail and get away with it? Like, have you guys seen the movies where that happens? "Oh, I'm gonna sneak past the guard, no big deal, I'll just walk right into my freedom." Meanwhile, two employees are assaulted and they're all about getting their hands on cash... sounds like a typical Tuesday to me ๐Ÿค‘. And now they get hit with escape charges, additional assault charges... and NO BAIL? More power to 'em, I guess ๐Ÿ˜‚. Police Chief Lara is gonna have to review those jail protocols, no doubt about it ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Can't have our prison population running wild like that!

Ugh, great job on making me worry about my safety while browsing online ๐Ÿ™„. I mean, who needs a safe internet experience when you can have a violent jailbreak to look forward to? Four teens are now behind bars with more charges added, but what's the plan to prevent this from happening again? ๐Ÿค”

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that some people might be, uh, "concerned" about jail safety protocols ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. The police chief is already on it, reviewing procedures, which is just... nice ๐Ÿ‘. But will any actual changes happen? Probably not ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

On the bright side, they're all safe and sound near a church in First Colony ๐Ÿ™. I guess that's one place where you can always find peace... and a good spot to watch the news ๐Ÿ“ฐ.

๐Ÿค” I'm low-key impressed how easy these teens made off with a whole crew. Like, one guy just casually slips away from his check-up and then opens the clink? That's some next-level escape moves right there. And to think they were already behind bars for an aggravated robbery... I mean, what's the point of even having security measures in place if it's that easy to exploit them? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿค” The notion of a coordinated escape plan orchestrated by an inmate who assaulted a corrections officer is quite concerning ๐Ÿšจ. It highlights the need for enhanced security measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The fact that the suspects were able to take advantage of a lapse in protocol, resulting in the release of multiple inmates, underscores the importance of rigorous training and protocols for correctional staff ๐Ÿ’ผ.

Furthermore, the use of technology, such as cell phone tracking and video surveillance, must be optimized to prevent similar incidents from occurring ๐Ÿ“Š. It's also essential that law enforcement agencies conduct thorough reviews of their procedures to identify areas for improvement ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Ultimately, ensuring the safety of both corrections officers and inmates is a top priority โš ๏ธ.
