The four suspects are now being held at the Fort Bend County Jail without bail due to the severity of their charges, including escape, causing severe bodily injury, and aggravated assault on a public servant. Police Chief Pete Lara has announced that this incident is under review, with procedures being assessed to prevent similar incidents in the future.

ABC13 has asked questions about the protocols in place at the jail for checking inmates in their cells, but authorities have yet to respond. The detention center is staffed by a sergeant and five detention officers, raising concerns about how many people were on duty at the time of the escape.
