I'm getting all nostalgic thinking about my own kiddos growing up... it's crazy how expensive childcare has become over the years! I mean, 55k little ones getting free childcare? That's amazing! But, you're right, critics are saying that's just the starting point. We need to make sure those programs don't get cut or underfunded down the line.

I was talking to my neighbor the other day and she was telling me about how hard it is for her to balance work and family life because of childcare costs... it's not just about affordability, it's about freedom too! Women in particular are being held back by this issue. So, I think Hochul's plan to boost funding for pre-K is a great idea, but we need to keep pushing forward.

It's heartening to see some progress, though. And hey, if it means more people can pursue their passions without worrying about how they're gonna pay the bills... that's what I call progress!

I'm skeptical about these promises . Universal child care is just another way to create dependency on the state . What's to stop the cost from just being passed on to taxpayers in the form of higher taxes or inflation? And what about the logistics of making this happen, especially with the 2-care program starting in "high need" areas? Sounds like a recipe for disaster . Plus, where's the funding going to come from? The state is already broke and has been raising taxes left and right . This all sounds like just another politician trying to buy votes with empty promises .

im not sure if 2-care program is gonna work...like, how much $$ can NY really spare? i mean, 425m in year 2 is just crazy talk and what about all the existing programs that are already struggling? Hochul's just trying to buy votes with free child care, but at what cost? will it just create more demand for more childcare centers? and dont even get me started on pre-k funding...i mean, how many kids actually use it? let's see some actual numbers before we start celebrating

I'm so down with Kathy Hochul's plans ! Child care crisis is real and it's time we do something about it . 2-care program for 2-year-olds is a great start , and fixing the 3K program is long overdue . I love that she wants every 4-year-old to have access to free child care by 2028 ! It's about time we support our families .

I'm all for increasing funding for pre-K and expanding scholarships . Child care experts are on board , and I believe Kathy Hochul has a solid plan in place . The numbers are promising - 28,000 more workers? That's huge! Let's get this done .

Critics have valid concerns , but I'm confident that with the state's strong revenues , we can make this happen . We owe it to our families and children to provide affordable child care options . Bring on 2028!
