8 essential NYC concerts to see in February

🤯 i'm low-key obsessed with the sound of underground resistance lately 🎵 their energy is infectious and makes me wanna rage all night long 🔥 i've been digging into their discography and it's crazy to think they're still producing this fire after 35 years 👏 what do you guys think about their takeover at nowadays in queens? should we be more excited about the fact that "mad" mike banks is taking on the major record companies 🤑

February is just around the corner and NYC is gonna throw one sick party 🤩! I'm hyped for that all-day Underground Resistance takeover at Nowadays in Queens - 35 years of psychedelic beatscapes? That's like, a lifetime of dance parties 😆. And ESG's Final Dance Tour at Elsewhere on the 13th? Can't miss that. Dianne Reeves' jazz set at Jazz at Lincoln Center is gonna be straight fire 🔥 too. The whole lineup looks insane!

OMG, I'm still buzzing from the last NYC concert I went to 🎉 and now there's this amazing lineup in February?! I was thinking of checking out Real Young and Lazy Horse at Union Pool - their Neil Young covers sound like so much fun! But then again, I was totally sold on Underground Resistance's all-day takeover at Nowadays... 35 years of psychedelic beatscapes? 🤯 That's a marathon I'd pay to be a part of! And ESG's Final Dance Tour is literally the highlight of my month - their minimalist funk has been on repeat since I read about it 😆. Who else is with me on this concert calendar extravaganza?! 🎵

🎵 gotta say, February is gonna be lit for music lovers in the city 🌆. been to a few underground shows in detroit that were straight fire 🔥, would love to see what "Mad" Mike Banks has in store at Nowadays 🤔. also, peaches + model/actriz always brings that kind of energy 💃🏻... but, gotta wonder, why is she playing here instead of canada again? 🤷‍♀️

idk about all this live music stuff...it's just a bunch of noise to me 🎵. can't they just put on some decent headphones or something instead of disturbing everyone with loud concerts? i mean, whats the point of underground resistance or whatever if it's just gonna be a bunch of people moshing around like idiots? and what's with all these overpriced tickets? in my day we could get to see live music for cheap and not have to worry about some overhyped DJ or band making a fortune off our gullibility 🤑.
