"Among the darkest days": Washington Post lays off a third of its staff in "bloodbath"

📰😬 gotta wonder what's gonna happen 2 all these good journalists who got let go... i mean, i get it, cost-cutting & all that but can't they just find ways 2 make the paper profitable w/o sacrificing quality? 💸 like whats the point of a strategic reset if u r just gonna chop away at the very thing thats makes the paper worth reading in the 1st place 🤷‍♀️

Man, can you believe The Washington Post just threw out nearly 1/3 of their staff? It's like they're trying to suck the soul outta journalism 📰😱. Cost-cutting is one thing, but this feels like Bezos just wants to gut the paper for some ideological reason... I mean, what's next? 😒 Canceling news sections altogether? That'd be a total disaster. The sports desk and international reporting department are already getting axed? What about investigative journalism? It's like they're trying to turn The Post into some watered-down clickbait factory 🤮. Baron just called it one of the darkest days in the paper's history... I don't blame him 😔.

Wow 🤯. This is getting out of hand. The sports desk and international reporting department getting axed? That's like chopping off your nose to spite your face. It's all about what Bezos wants, not what the people need. Can't you just cut back on costs without sacrificing quality? I mean, what's next? No more in-depth analysis or investigative journalism? Interesting 😬

man... whats goin on with The Washington Post tho? like, i get that costs gotta be cut but nearly a third of their staff gone? that's crazy 💸😱. they're really talkin' about scrapmin' sports and international reporting? what about all the stuff that matters in this world? don't they wanna cover climate change, politics, and social justice anymore? 🌎📰. i feel bad for the reporters who lost their jobs too... one ex-employee called it a "financial" move rather than a "strategic" one - makes sense to me too 🤔. hope the Post can figure out how to balance profits with journalistic integrity, cuz right now it feels like they're sacrificin' quality for the sake of cuttin' costs 💯📉
