A teenage boy in southern France has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing an art teacher at least three times, leaving her in critical condition. The incident occurred at La Guicharde secondary school in Sanary-sur-Mer, where the teacher had recently been at odds with the student.
According to prosecutors, there were no known "religious or political connotations" behind the attack, and the motive appears to be solely personal. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

But seriously, 3 stab wounds? That's some intense drama right there 
. I feel bad for the victim and her family, but can we please talk about how our education system is supposed to be teaching these kids coping mechanisms instead of just dealing with whatever existential crisis they're having on a daily basis

It's crazy how school violence is on the rise here in France - it's like, we need to do something about it but at the same time, I feel for the kid who's probably dealing with some serious stuff himself 
The fact that it was just a personal thing and not about anything else is kinda a relief, I guess? But then again, what drives someone to stab their teacher like that?!

I'm getting really worried for our youth, they're growing up in such a toxic environment where violence is becoming normalized. And no one knows the motive behind this attack, it's like, what if it was a copycat thing from that other incident last year... my mind is racing

Can we talk about how messed up school is right now? Like, I'm all for kids having their voices heard, but stabbing someone three times because you're mad at them? No thanks. 
And what's with the lack of consequences for this kid last year who killed a teacher? Did he get some sort of slap on the wrist or something? It's like we're just letting these kids run wild and expect everyone to be okay with it. 
... schools are supposed to be safe spaces for kids & teachers, not places where violence breaks out
