Bonobos can play make-believe much like children, study suggests

OMG u guys! 🤯 I'm like totally stoked about this new study on bonobos! 👀 They've basically taught a bonobo named Kanzi to play make-believe, just like human kids do 😂. I mean, we already knew they're super smart and all, but this is like, whoa! 🤓 The fact that they can distinguish between real and imaginary objects is mind-blowing 💥.

This study makes me wonder, when did humans start doing make-believe? Was it always a thing or was it something our ancestors picked up along the way? 🤔 And what's even crazier is that this ability might've been present in our common ancestor with bonobos like 6-9 million years ago! 🌟 That's just wild, fam 😲. We need to keep exploring the neural mechanisms behind imaginative thinking in humans and non-humans, that's some next-level science 🔬.

Kanzi's make-believe play is like me watching an epic YouTube video – I'm just here for the entertainment 🤣👀 But seriously, this study shows us that our furry cousins are more clever than we thought 👍 Their ability to distinguish between real and imaginary objects is crazy impressive 💥 And it makes you wonder if we're just playing dress-up too, pretending to have jobs or relationships 😂
