the patriots have definitely been pretty fortunate with their matchups so far this playoffs. like who expected the chargers and texans to be so depleted? 
it's not that hard to imagine beating some teams when you're getting top-notch defenses 
anyway, i think cam newton's logic is sound but we gotta wait and see how they fare against some tougher opponents before we can call their path "easiest"

. like, who else is gonna just give up a top receiver and two tackles? that's not exactly a strength test for the patriots 
. and cam's saying their defense has been solid? yeah, sure, but so have a lot of other teams this year... and they didn't all get to coast through like the patriots have

I mean cam newton was on the patriots for like 11 years and he knows what they're capable of! They do have that home-field advantage which can make a huge difference and I love how cam is acknowledging their defense isn't the strongest side. He's right though, injuries on offense can be super beneficial in the playoffs 
... I'm not saying it's going to be easy for them or anything but Newton makes a legit point that their path hasn't been as tough as some people are making it out to be
