Can You Keep a Secret? review – Dawn French is like a wild Vicar of Dibley in this charming sitcom

🤔 I'm not sold on this one... The whole premise feels like a contrived way to get out of paying taxes 💸. I mean, who comes up with a scheme to "keep" someone dead just to get their life insurance payout? It sounds like something out of a bad comedy movie 🎥. And don't even get me started on the supporting cast... Craig Roberts is actually pretty great in other roles, but here he's just playing the same old "struggling son" trope 😒.

I'm also not buying the claim that this show uses its witty banter and comedic timing to charm viewers 🤷‍♂️. I mean, we've all seen plenty of comedies with funnier jokes and more clever writing 📚. And what's up with the lack of transparency about how much the insurance payout is 💸? Where's the accountability in that?

Overall, I'd say this show feels like a rehashing of old British sitcom formulas without adding anything new or interesting to the mix 🔄. Can You Keep a Secret? might be an okay watch if you're into farce and have a strong stomach for absurdity 😂, but it's not blowing me away in any way 🙅‍♂️.

I'm loving this new sitcom Can You Keep a Secret? 😂 Dawn French is absolute fire as Debbie Fendon, her energy is infectious and I'm literally dying (pun intended) from laughter whenever she's on screen! 🤣 The supporting cast is also top-notch, particularly Craig Roberts as the son Harry who's struggling to keep up with his mum's antics. 🤦‍♂️ The show's got a great balance of witty banter and heartwarming moments that'll have you smiling from ear to ear. 💕 I'm not gonna lie, some of the jokes might be a bit duff but overall it's a solid watch that's all about having a good time! 🎉
