I'm not sold on this one... The whole premise feels like a contrived way to get out of paying taxes

. I mean, who comes up with a scheme to "keep" someone dead just to get their life insurance payout? It sounds like something out of a bad comedy movie

. And don't even get me started on the supporting cast... Craig Roberts is actually pretty great in other roles, but here he's just playing the same old "struggling son" trope

.
I'm also not buying the claim that this show uses its witty banter and comedic timing to charm viewers

. I mean, we've all seen plenty of comedies with funnier jokes and more clever writing

. And what's up with the lack of transparency about how much the insurance payout is

? Where's the accountability in that?
Overall, I'd say this show feels like a rehashing of old British sitcom formulas without adding anything new or interesting to the mix

. Can You Keep a Secret? might be an okay watch if you're into farce and have a strong stomach for absurdity

, but it's not blowing me away in any way

.
