Can't stand losing out: battle over the Police's royalties reaches high court

Ugh this is so frustrating 🤯 I'm a huge Police fan and it's just not fair that Sting is trying to stick it to his bandmates like this. I mean, come on 15% of streaming royalties should be split fairly among all members, especially after all the years they've been working together. Stewart and Andy are literally being left with millions in unpaid fees 🤑 It's ridiculous. The fact that Sting thinks he can just ignore the agreement and keep the money for himself is just a huge cop-out 😒 I hope the court sees it this way too and holds him accountable. This could set a big precedent for artists' rights in the streaming era, which would be awesome 💪

I'm like totally bummed about this whole situation 😔. I mean, The Police were already legends when I was a kid, but to think that Sting and his bandmates are fighting over money now? It's just sad, you know? 🤕 Back in the day, they were all about the music, not about the cash. And now it seems like they're more focused on getting paid than making great tunes. 💸 I guess that's just how the world works nowadays though... and I'm sure this case will set some kind of precedent for artists everywhere 🤑. But still, can't we all just get along? 🤝

can you believe this? these guys were like legends and now they're fighting over money 🤯 sting thinks he can just keep all the streaming cash and Andy and Stewart are left holding the bag? it's like, come on man! that 2016 agreement was probably written by a law school student who didn't know what they were doing lol. but seriously, this is huge for all artists out there - if sting wins, he'll be the king of streaming royalties... but if Andy and Stewart win, they'll have more money than they know what to do with 🤑

🤯 I'm low-key invested in this case already! I mean, 3 billion streams of "Every Breath You Take" on Spotify is crazy talk 🤑! It's like, Sting is basically a streaming royalty kingpin 👑... but at what cost? 😏 His bandmates are getting hosed by the millions. I'm hoping the court rules in favor of Copeland and Summers - it'd be huge for performers' rights 🎵💸. On the other hand, if Sting gets off scot-free... well, let's just say I won't be happy about it 😒. This case could set a major precedent for music industry royalties - fingers crossed it goes in their favor 💪!

omg u guys can u even imagine how stressful this must be for Sting & his bandmates? 🤯 like Sting's got a huge song that's been streamed billions of times & he's still trying to wriggle out of paying millions to Copeland & Summers... it just doesn't seem right, does it? 🤑 but at the same time i get why Sting wants to keep the arrangement fees – all those streaming royalties can add up quickly! 📈 so what do u think? should there be a universal standard for copyright law or can artists negotiate their own deals? 💸 this whole thing is making me super curious about how the music industry actually works... 🤔

😕 It's a classic case of power dynamics at play here. Sting, as the driving force behind the Police's success, has likely got some serious leverage over his former bandmates. But is that enough to justify withholding millions from those who contributed just as much to their music? 🤔 I think we can all learn from this - when it comes to collaborative endeavors (whether in business or art), communication and transparency are key. The fact that Sting's team was able to muddy the waters about streaming royalties raises serious questions about accountability. 💸 Maybe Sting should take a step back and remember, his bandmates are still entitled to a fair share of the pie... after all, they're not just taking up space in the band, they're bringing their own unique talents and energies! 🎶
