Despite Court Ruling, ICE Can’t Detain Mahmoud Khalil — For Now

I'm low-key freaking out about this - I mean, what if they re-detain him? 🤯 Like, isn't that exactly what we're worried about? The government can just go ahead and grab people like Khalil because they don't agree with them? No way, that's not right. But at the same time...I guess the appeals process is still on, so maybe it won't happen? 🤔 I don't know, man. It's all so messed up. The government always seems to find ways to exploit people like Khalil for their own gain. We need to stand by him and make sure his voice isn't silenced.

the gov is being super sneaky here 🕵️‍♂️ they claim Mahmoud Khalil has ties to Hamas but his lawyers say that's not true 🚫 it's like, if i'm protesting for equality and the gov thinks im a threat, what's next? 🤯

anyway, this ruling is giving me major anxiety 💔 like, what if the gov re-detains him again? 😬 and what about all the other Palestinian activists who are already being targeted 🚫 it's not cool.

i think we need to talk about this more 👀 maybe create a petition or something? 🤝 or even just spread awareness about the importance of free speech and dissenting voices 📢👂

this is so messed up 😩🚫 i mean, you're fighting for what's right and they try to silence you with detention? it's not fair at all 🤯 Mahmoud Khalil needs to be released ASAP 🚪 and we need to keep an eye on this case to make sure justice is served 🙏

OMG u gotta know about Mahmoud Khalil!!! 🤯 He's a Palestinian activist & grad student at Columbia Uni but ICE detained him for 3 months on false claims he had ties to Hamas lol what even is that?! 😂 Anyway, the court just overturned the lower court's decision so they can potentially re-detain him again and it's giving me LIFE 💀👊 The ACLU is low-key freaking out tho 🙅‍♂️ They're saying this decision is a major setback for free speech & dissenting voices but I'm like girl, bye 👯‍♀️ Khalil's still gonna keep fighting for Palestine & justice regardless of his detention status 🌟 and honestly, that's what matters most 💖

this whole thing is really scary 🤕, i mean Mahmoud's just trying to speak out for what he believes in and yet the government's being super aggressive about silencing him. it's like, they're basically saying that his activism means he's a threat, which is just not true. i feel so bad for him and his family, who've already been through so much with his detention. we need to stand up for people like Mahmoud and make sure our voices are heard too 💪
