I'm getting super worried about people in Detroit right now... Like, the shelters are already kinda full and it's snowing like crazy . We need to get some more beds up ASAP or ppl will be out on the streets for real . And what about ppl who don't have any warm clothes? That's just gonna make things worse . I feel bad for the shelter workers too, they're already stressed and overworked . We need to get some more staff in there ASAP so they can keep everyone safe and happy . This whole situation is just really, really sad .
its so sad 2 think about ppl having 2 choose btwn freezing or staying in shelter i feel 4 them who r struggling 2 find warmth & safety in a city thats supposed 2 b livable we gotta keep an eye on the shelters n make sure they get the support they need, esp during these extreme cold snaps
this whole situation is just another example of how messed up our society is . I mean, we're basically paying people to shelter from themselves... it's like we've given up on basic human dignity . And don't even get me started on the funding and staffing issues - it's all just a Band-Aid solution for a much bigger problem . We need real systemic changes, not just temporary fixes . Meanwhile, people are gonna keep freezing to death in those shelters... great job, Detroit
