Among these talented pups are Cricket, a special needs American pit bull terrier/American Staffordshire terrier from Harley's Haven; DeVon-tails Smith, aka Koda, an Akita/husky mix from the Providence Animal Shelter; Finch, a beagle now known as Lucky, who was rescued by the Animal Welfare Association; Grasshopper, Cricket's sibling and a diabetic American pit bull terrier/American Staffordshire terrier, also from Harley's Haven; Jill, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a sweet and social personality, from Phoenix Animal Rescue; Lin, an 8-month-old pup whose origin story is shrouded in mystery after being rescued by the Brandywine Valley SPCA; Oscar, a feisty mini poodle from Phoenix Animal Rescue who's a natural-born leader in his new home; Shirley, a mysterious dog found in Texas and later brought to safety by the Brandywine Valley SPCA before ending up in a loving family; and Teddy, an energetic black and brown puppy with a passion for football, also from the Providence Animal Shelter.

I'm surprised they're saying Cricket is a "special needs" American pit bull terrier/American Staffordshire terrier, that's not exactly true she's actually a diabetic dog 
. Anyway, I gotta give it up for Harley's Haven and Phoenix Animal Rescue, they're doing some amazing work with these pups. And can we talk about how cute are all the puppy names? Finch is literally the cutest name ever 
. The Puppy Bowl is definitely a great way to promote pet adoption, but I think it would be even better if they included more shelters from outside Philly too

but seriously, it's great that the puppies are getting a chance to show off and find forever homes. can't wait for the puppy bowl on Feb 8th - will be live-tweeting with all my pupper friends 
these philly dogs r talented btw cricket and grasshopper r like total odd ducks with their diabetes thing but hey good for them right? and omg teddy sounds like my little brother he'd def be all about that football life 
anyway i'm glad the puppy bowl is doing its thing for pet adoption and all that jazz it's always heartwarming to see ppl giving homes to pups in shelters
i mean dont get me wrong, shes adorable and all, but its not like they're gonna win a super bowl or somethin. its all about the $$ and publicity 4 these shelters and rescue orgs, imo. and btw, whats up with callin it the puppy bowl? dogs r not really bowls, more like... puppies 
. these shelters are already stretched thin, now there's gonna be an extra strain on resources when puppy bowl comes around? plus, some of these dogs got sick or injured before being rescued, so what's to say they won't have health issues during filming? and let's not forget, it's just a game 
i mean who doesn't love dogs?! 
. I mean, what's next? Human Bowl? Puppy Bowl is just a fancy way of saying "cute animals doing tricks". And don't even get me started on the adoption thing, it's just a marketing ploy to make people buy more pet food and toys 
. I'm not hating on the dogs or anything, they're just... pups. 
. Those furry friends are bound to steal our hearts, for sure! Can't wait to watch the Puppy Bowl and see which pup wins the game... or just gets lots of snuggles
