I'm really worried about people getting deported without even going through a proper court process it's not just about numbers, 54 people being arrested is a whole lotta lives that are being messed up here. What's the end game, you know? Is it really about keeping our streets safe or is it just about showing some kind of power move? I'm all for a safer community but we gotta do better than this

I'm still trying to understand what's going on with this US Immigration thingy . I mean, isn't that like, a state thing? Why are they involving the feds in it? And what's up with these "sanctuary city" policies? Like, can't they just cooperate with each other or something?

And 54 arrests is like, a lot! I'm no expert but isn't that like a big deal for New York City? What's the point of arresting people if you're just gonna deport them? That seems kinda harsh . And what about the gang thing? Is it really that serious?

The whole thing with the Trinitarios gang crackdown is wild . 54 arrests in one swoop? That's crazy! And now we're talking about deportation stats , which I feel like are getting way out of hand. Like, what does it even mean for someone to be deported when they've been living here their whole lives? It's all super confusing.

But let's talk about the sanctuary city thing ️. I think we need to rethink our approach on this. It's not like these policies are the root of all evil, you know? They're just trying to create a safe space for people to feel comfortable and open up .

And what's with the DHS Secretary being so extra ? I mean, I get it, public safety is important, but do we really need someone who's gonna stir up controversy all the time? It's just gonna fuel more divisions.

It makes me wonder what it would be like if we focused more on supporting our communities and less on enforcing borders . I mean, what about all the good people who are being pulled apart by this crackdown? Those 60% who got deported... do they even know where their families are or how to get back home? It's like we're treating people like pawns in a game instead of human beings . I'm not saying that gangs shouldn't be taken seriously, but is this really the best way to address the problem?

I'm not sure I agree with this whole operation... . 54 arrests is a lot, but some of those people were just pawns in the game, you know? I get why DHS Secretary Noem wants to crack down on gangs, but deporting 60% of them without giving them a chance to plead their case? That's harsh, fam... . And what about the officer's account? Multiple videos showing the victim being shot before turning away... it doesn't add up.

I'm also curious about those "sanctuary city" policies in NYC. Are they really as effective at promoting public safety and community trust or are they just a way to sidestep the issue of immigration enforcement altogether? The more I think about it, the more I'm like, what's the real solution here? More arrests won't solve anything... .

this whole thing is so messed up i mean, 54 people get arrested in nyc and some of them are just associates of a gang... that's not exactly a crackdown on gangs if you ask me. it feels like the us government is more concerned with deporting people than actually addressing the root causes of gang violence.

and what's with the 'sanctuary city' policies? i get why they're in place, but are they really making things worse or better? it seems like the us government just wants to sweep its immigration problems under the rug and expect everyone else to deal with it. newsflash: that's not how community policing works.

as for the officer who got shot... if he was following protocol and still managed to get his partner hurt, maybe he should be reevaluating his approach? i'm all for keeping people safe, but at what cost? the fact that multiple videos show the victim turning away from the officer before being shot raises some serious questions about what really went down. we deserve answers.

and then there are the immigrant rights activists who are speaking out against this crackdown... they have a point, imo. the us immigration system is broken and it's time for some real reform, not just more deportations and arrests.
