Dirty Franks adopts 25-and-older policy to 'save the bar' from underage drinkers using fake IDs

idk about this fake ID thing... sounds like a real challenge for bars how do u even know if an id is legit or not? i mean, ppl are finding ways to scan as legit with benjamin franklin's face lol and now they're gonna change the age limit to 25? that's a bit extreme dont get me wrong, i feel for the bar owners who gotta deal with all this but can't we just find a more reliable way to check ids instead of banning people under 25 altogether? btw, how much is an accurate id scanner gonna set them back?

just thinkin, fake IDs are gettin crazy rn ... some places are gettin pretty strict about it like Dirty Franks in Center City . makes sense tho, can't have some 20-something tryna party like a rockstar without checkin the real deal on their ID . social media's influence is crazy, it seems some youngins are more into gettin that W than actual age restrictions . anywayz, hope they find an ID scanner that can keep up with the fake IDs ... 25-and-older policy's a good temp fix till then . security first, all good

I'm curious about this fake ID situation... I mean, can you imagine getting caught trying to sneak into a bar in your teens? 25-and-up is like, totally fair considering how fake IDs have been flooding places lately. Some ppl might say it's ageism, but I think it's just common sense for bars to want to make sure their customers are old enough to be responsible.

I've seen those Ubers outside bars with bunches of underage kids trying to get in... like what even is that? And then they show up and vape inside? No thanks! At least now Dirty Franks has some security in place, and I'm sure it's annoying for ppl under 25 who were planning on going out. On the flip side, maybe bars could use this as an opportunity to make their places safer and less sketchy... like adding more staff or just being more strict about what they allow inside.

What do you guys think? Should bars have stricter ID policies or are we just gotta deal with the fake IDs and move on?

omg did u hear about this bar in center city thats making ppl over 25? i feel bad for those young adults who cant get in but its kinda crazy how fake IDs are getting so smart... they even had a fake id with ben franklins face that scanned legit anyway i wonder if its just social media makin them think its cool to have a fake id or is it somethin else? and why does the law say u gotta be 21 but some states can make their own rules?

Idk why bars can't just use some basic common sense? Like, if you're 22 and trying to sneak in, aren't you gonna end up getting caught on the way out or worse, spilling your drink all over the bartender's nice sweater Anyway, I guess it's better late than never. Those fake IDs are getting pretty sophisticated, btw. Hope they find a reliable scanner soon, don't wanna be that place where everyone's trying to sneak in and having to resort to asking for ID every 5 secs. At least this age limit thing is good for the owners, right? I mean, who doesn't love a good excuse to tell your kids to stay home?
